Ready to process an order and print its shipping label? Read on to learn how!

CommentSold partners with USPS to give you the ability to print shipping labels for customer orders. You can process and print labels in bulk; however, if you have a single order you need to quickly process and ship, you can generate a shipping label for just that order.

Before you get started, make sure you've:

Shipping hand sanitizer? USPS classifies hand sanitizer as a flammable product. Due to the risk of flammable items on aircraft, hand sanitizer must always be shipped via Ground Shipping. CommnetSold does not offer a Group Shipping option, so packages must be taken separately to the post office to allow you to purchase the proper shipping label. It is your responsibility to ensure hazardous items are shipped correctly.

Print a Single Label

  1. Select Orders/Fulfillment in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select the Paid tile.
  3. Scroll and locate the order you wish to process.
  4. Select the tag icon on the far right of the order. This will expand the shipping label section below the order details.
  5. Enter the package's LengthWidth, and Height dimensions in the fields provided.
    • Using a poly mailer? You can select the Is Poly Mailer? checkbox to remove the Height dimension field.
  6. Select Create Label.
  7. CommentSold will present the total cost of the label in a fly-down at the top of the page. Select OK to proceed with generating the label.

You should now see a Print Shipping Labels button in the top-right corner of the page. When you select this button, a new tab will open with the packing slip and shipping label for the order. If you're using a regular printer, ensure you've set your printer options to a Landscape orientation with zero (0) margins.

Once you print the label, select the green Mark Labels as Printed button. If left unselected, then CommentSold will include the label for re-print the next time you process orders.

Is the product missing a weight? You will not be able to generate a label for products without a weight assigned on the Edit Inventory tab of the product record. If prompted to add a weight, you must do so on the product record, then repeat the steps above.

Mark the Order as Fulfilled

Once you print a label and package and ship the order, you can mark it as fulfilled in CommentSold.

  1. Select Orders/Fulfillment in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Locate the order for which you printed a shipping label.
  3. Select the gift icon on the far right of the order.
  4. On the pop-up, choose whether you wish to:
    • Add a note. Enter a note for the order, if desired. Notes may be visible to customers depending on your shipping settings.
    • Notify Customer. Select this checkbox to notify the customer via email that you've fulfilled their order.
  5. Select Fulfill in the bottom-right corner of the pop-up.

The order is now marked as fulfilled!
