With Popclips, you can create an engaging shopping experience on both your website and mobile app.

Popclips breathe life into product pages by adding creative product videos you choose. Showcase the product with a demo or user-generated content (UGC), or highlight a customer video review.

On your iOS and Android mobile app, shoppable videos go beyond just product pages on the Popclips feed, a TikTok-like feed that your shoppers can scroll. It’s a feed you 100% control–zero ads and zero algorithms.

Below, we walk you through how to create a Popclip in CommentSold.

Create a Popclip

  1. Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Popclips.
  2. Select Create New Popclip in the top-right corner of the page.
  3. Enter a name for your clip in the Clip Title field (optional).
  4. Enter additional text for your clip in the Clip Text field (optional). This can be a catchy headline or any details about the clip.
  5. You have two options in Add Video:
    • Browse AI Clips. Coming Soon! Upload an approved product clip generated using AI ClipHero.
    • Upload File. Drag or upload a video from your device using the field on the right.
    • Important! Popclips must be a .mp4 file type and no larger than 100MB. We recommend videos 30-45 seconds long.
    • Note. If you record videos in .mov format, you can convert these videos into .mp4 here.
  6. Link up to 5 products to the clip by selecting the checkbox in the top-right corner of each product tile. You can use the Search field to quickly locate the product(s) you wish to link.
  7. Select from the Display Options beneath the Popclip preview to select how you want to feature the Popclip on the product description page.
    • Exclude clip. Popclip will not display on the web and app product description page.
    • Pop-out video. Popclip will show as a pop-out video on the web and app product description page.
    • Inline video. Popclip will appear in the product image gallery on the product description page.
    • Select the Position.
      • Position 1. Displays the Popclip as the first product image.
      • Position 2. Displays the Popclip as the second product image. This position is selected by default.
  8. Once done, select Save Popclip in the top-right corner of the page.

Products not appearing in the Popclips tab on the mobile app? If your Popclip preview shows all the products but only some appear in the Popclips tab on the app, ensure that all products are posted to the app.

Products will only be visible in the Popclip if they are posted and available on the mobile app. Double-check that the products have quantity and are tagged correctly in the video, and make sure they are posted to the app to appear in the Popclip.

What a Shopper Experiences

Once a Popclip is live, it will appear on the mobile and website product detail page for any products linked to the clip. You can learn how to manage that visibility here. Popclips will also appear in the Popclips feed on your mobile app.

Adding Products to the Cart Directly From Popclips - Mobile App

Shoppers start on the Popclips Feed on a web browser view on their mobile device.

Shoppers then select the Buy icon, and a pullout card appears displaying the product description and images along with an Add To Cart button.

Shoppers then select the Add to Cart button, the product detail page (PDP) closes automatically, and a toast message confirms that the item has been added to the cart.

Shoppers then select the cart icon to pull out the modal, which displays a list of items in the cart along with the order summary.

Shoppers then select the checkout button that takes them directly to the Shopify checkout page to complete the purchase.
