Information About Your 1099-K

If you meet certain requirements (outlined below), you will receive a 1099-K from CommentSold.

 

What is a 1099-K?

Form 1099-K is a purely informational form that summarizes the sales activity of your account. The IRS requires CommentSold to provide the form every year for each CS Payments account that meets all of the following criteria in the previous calendar year:

  • Account is based in U.S, or the non-U.S. account is for a U.S. taxpayer 
  • Account has more than $20,000 in total gross volume 
  • Account has more than 200 charges

CommentSold provides the form to you, to the IRS, and (in some cases) to your state.

Will I be getting a 1099-K?

If your CS Payments account met the above criteria in 2020, then yes, you will receive a Form 1099-K from CommentSold.

 

How will I get my 1099-K?

A hard copy was mailed to the address provided in your CS Payments account on January 25th. If you have not received your copy in the mail, you can contact your Account Strategist or chat support to receive a digital copy by email.

 

What address was my 1099-K form mailed to?

The form was mailed to the address listed in your CS Payments account.

 

Can I get an electronic copy?  If so, who do I contact to get it?

You can! Contact your Account Strategist to request.

 

When will I get a 1099-K?

Each year that you meet the outlined requirements, CommentSold is required to send you a copy of your 1099-K by January 31st (for the previous calendar year transactions).

You should have received a hard-copy in the mail by now. If you have not received your form, contact your Account Strategist or CS chat support.
