About CSV Reports


A CSV report is a report you can export and view in a spreadsheet program (e.g., Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, etc.).

By opening a CSV report in a spreadsheet program, you can create custom calculations and display preferences that allow you to dig farther into data points.

When You Should Run a CSV Report


  • A CSV report is a quick way to export and share critical financial details if you work with an accountant.  
  • You want to export data to create custom calculations and visual panels.

Run a CSV Report


  1. Select Reporting in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select CSV from the report options listed at the top of the page.
  3. Define your Start Date and End Date in the fields provided, then select the Retrieve button.
  4. For any CSV report, you can choose whether to View the report or Generate and Email.
    • View. Download a copy of the CSV report to your device.
    • Generate and Email. Send an email to your shop's primary email address that contains a link to download the report.

Available CSV Reports


CSV # Report Details
1 View product cost and revenue for all products in the defined date range.

View and evaluate the performance of shipping and fulfillment employees. These employees should strive to fulfill 50 items per hour. If they are fulfilling far less, it could be time to re-train. This report uses the time a shopper placed an order.

4 View the number of posts made by your team and the number of items featured in those posts during the defined date range.

View a breakdown of product performance by vendor. Key data points include total pieces sold, total products added to a waitlist, total posts, and total sales during the defined date range.

View a summary of product details. Key data points include SKU, brand, product name, description, variants, price, and quantity sold during the defined date range.

View a breakdown of product cost, price, sale date, coupon, and discount amount.

View a breakdown of tax information. Key data points include sold state tax, county tax, municipal tax, total tax, and cost of goods sold (COGS) for the defined date range

View tax information by state, county, and municipality for individual orders. This report also includes total tax, order status, and delivery status. Orders shown will be those placed during the defined date range.

View a breakdown of product details. Key data points include product name, SKU, quantities (on hand, on shelf, in carts, and sold), total waitlist, total preauthorized waitlists, price, cost, variants, latest post, and first post.

View details for orders placed during the defined date range, including customer contact details (e.g. name, email, address, etc.) and order details (e.g., SKU, product name, variants, etc.).

View order, payment, discount, and refund details for orders in the defined date range. This report includes the customer name and notes.

View a summary of product details, including SKU, variants, quantity, weight, price, location, and received status.

16 View a breakdown of products added to waitlists during the defined date range. Use this report when determining what products to restock. Key data points include waitlisting customer, product waitlisted, variant(s) waitlisted, and preauthorization.

20 View a breakdown of tracked Facebook Events (ads) for the defined date range. Key data points include the purchasing customer, event timestamp, and purchase amount.

View a breakdown of customers' live sale purchases during the defined date range. Key data points include the purchasing customer, number of products purchased from a live sale, total amount spent during a live sale, and the number of live sales where they made a purchase.
