About Branding Options

Branding plays a key role in establishing a retailer's unique presence in the e-commerce space. Branding can include (but is not limited to) a color palette, font options, icon design, and more.

With CommentSold, retailers can customize the look and feel of their webstore to ensure it mirrors their established brand. This article covers branding options available via the Branding menu; however, you can read more about other brand and design options here.

How Branding Options Benefit Your Business

  • Contribute to a cohesive branding experience by having your webstore match your other visual assets (e.g., social accounts, print materials, in-store signage, etc.).
  • Upload a favicon, which displays your business logo to the left of your business URL in a browser as well as in the browser tab.

Customize Your Color Palette

  1. Select Webstore Design in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. In the Customization section on the left side of the page, select Branding.
  3. In the Colors section, select Primary, Secondary, and Announcement Banner fields to access the color picker for each option.
    • Hex. Enter a HEX code (i.e., a 6-digit alphanumeric code beginning with #) for a branded color.
    • Picker. Drag your cursor along the color bar to change the color group. You can click inside the larger color box at the top of the pop-up to refine the color.
  4. If you wish to use a general color palette, choose your desired option from the Color Palette drop-down.
  5. Select Publish in the top-right corner of the page to publish your brand colors to your webstore.

Choose a Corner Radius Option

If you add a featured collection and/or promotional block to your webstore, then you can customize how much CommentSold rounds the corner of the main image tiles.

  1. Select Webstore Design in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. In the Customization section on the left side of the page, select Branding.
  3. In the Corner Radius section, choose your desired rounding option. The page will refresh to display the option.
  4. Select Publish in the top-right corner of the page to publish your rounding preference to your webstore.

Choose Icon Design

Icons appear in the top-right corner of your webstore and include a search icon, a user account icon, and a shopping bag icon.

  1. Select Webstore Design in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. In the Customization section on the left side of the page, select Branding.
  3. In the Icons section, choose your desired icon design. The page will refresh to display the option.
  4. Select Publish in the top-right corner of the page to publish your icon preference to your webstore.

Upload a Favicon for Your Webstore

A favicon icon is a small icon that appears to the left of your business URL in the browser tab. It can help shoppers locate your page easier if they have multiple tabs open.

  1. Select Webstore Design in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. In the Customization section on the left side of the page, select Branding.
  3. In the Favicon section, select the pencil icon.
  4. Select Upload Image or Image Library to upload your favicon. Image Library pulls from existing images (e.g., product images) in your store.
  5. Select Done once you have selected or uploaded the icon.
  6. Select Publish in the top-right corner of the page to publish the favicon to your webstore.
