Site Creator’s Media Gallery makes it easier than ever to upload and manage images and videos you use across your CommentSold website.

Access Media Gallery


  1. Hover over the side menu in your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Locate and select Media Gallery toward the bottom.
  3. Use the size slider to adjust the number of files to display.

Upload an Image or Video


You can upload various types of media for use in your website design. We list them below, along with their file size requirements.

  • Image Files. You can upload .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, and .HEIC image files. There are no restrictions on image file sizes.
  • Video Files. You can upload .MP4, .MOV, and .WEBP video files. Video files should not exceed 5MB.

  1. Select Upload in the top-right corner of your media gallery.
  2. Select the Upload icon to choose a file from your device. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file from your device into the media gallery.
  3. Your uploaded file will appear beneath the upload field. Select Next in the bottom-right corner of the media gallery.
  4. Enter Details to the right of your media.
  5. Once done, select Save in the bottom-right corner of the media gallery.

Upload Media in Bulk


  1. Select Upload in the top-right corner of your media gallery.
  2. Select the Upload icon to choose a file from your device. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file from your device into the media gallery.
  3. Repeat the above steps to add multiple media files.
  4. Your uploaded files will appear beneath the upload field. Select Next in the bottom-right corner of the media gallery.
When adding media in bulk, you'll need to enter details for each item individually afterwards.

Edit an Image or Video


Once you have uploaded a media file, you can easily access it to make changes. You even have the option to save changes as a new file within your media gallery.

  1. Select the three-dots beneath the image preview (or placeholder) for the file you wish to edit.
  2. Select Edit from the options listed.
  3. Make your edits:
    • If editing a video, you will only be able to make changes to the media Details (e.g., Alt Text, Title, and Caption).
    • If editing an image or GIF, you can make changes to the media Details (e.g., Alt Text, Title, and Caption) as well as the size and orientation of the image or GIF. Use the Crop and Rotate icons above the image/GIF to make your desired changes, then select Apply.
  4. Choose whether to Save the original media or save your changes as a new file (Save as Copy).

Delete Media Individually or in Bulk


You can delete media from the media gallery either individually or in bulk.

  Note: Deleting is a permanent action and cannot be undone. Deleting media will remove the media from wherever it is used on your website. If you wish to "undo" this action, you will need to reupload the original media and manually add it back to the desired places on your website.

To delete an individual media file:

  1. Select the three-dot icon on the right side of the media tile.
  2. Select Delete from the options listed.
  3. Review and confirm your action by selecting Delete on the pop-up.

To delete media files in bulk:

  1. Select the desired media files you wish to delete.
  2. Select the trash icon in the top-left corner of the media gallery.
  3. Review and confirm your action by selecting Delete All on the pop-up.

Download a Media File to Your Device


 

  1. Select the three-dot icon on the right side of the media tile for the media you wish to download.
  2. Select Download from the options listed.
  3. The file will automatically download to the default Downloads location on your device.

Search and Sort Media Files


  • Adjust View. Select the list or grid icons in the top-right corner of the media gallery to adjust your view. Please note that selecting a list view will move the three-dot icon referenced in the above sections to the far right of the media row.
  • Sort. Select the sort icon ( in the top-right corner of the media gallery) to choose your preferred sort option. This will reorder all the media in your media gallery.
    • You can choose from Date Modified, Date Added, Name, and File Type. You also have the option for the sort to appear in Ascending (A to Z) or Descending (Z to A) order.
  • Filter. Select the filter icon ( in the top-right corner of the media gallery) to apply your preferred filter option. This will remove from view any media that does not fit your filter criteria.
    • You can choose to filter Date Modified and Data Added to show Today, the Last 7 DaysLast 30 DaysLast 3 Months, and Last 6 Months. You can also filter to show specific media file types. Options include Image and Video.
  • Search. Enter a keyword in the Search field to search your media gallery for files containing that keyword in the title, description, or alt text. As you type, the gallery will automatically begin searching.
