View, Generate and Export Dropship Reports
Following are the two types of Dropship reports available:
Product Margin Report
Provides insights into product profitability by showing the difference between the Total Price and the Total Cost.
Expand each customer order to view individual product details under an order by selecting the arrow on the right corner of each order.
Shipping Cost Report
Tracks shipping expenses for your Dropship orders.
When you generate a Dropship report, you do so for a specific date range. Each report should be considered an isolated snapshot of information available for the dates you entered.
You will need to generate a new report if you wish to view a date range different from the one you entered previously.
You have two options for viewing your report:
- Export the report. You can export the report to your device as a .CSV file. This is ideal if you wish to open the file in your preferred spreadsheet program for advanced filtering and reporting.
- View the report in CS. You can quickly view report data in CommentSold. This is ideal if you want to glance at individual figures and totals quickly, or if you wish to drill down to specific order details.
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Dropship.
- Select Reports at the top of the page.
- Select the desired type of report tab. Product Margin Report or Shipping Cost Report. You will now see customer orders listed (newest to oldest).
- Expand orders on the Product Margin Report tab to see more details.
- To narrow down the data, select a Date range from the drop-down at the top-right corner of the page.
- Select Generate Report at the top-right corner of the page.
- You can also select Export to CSV if you wish to export the report in .CSV format.
These reports will include all dropship orders regardless of payment processor.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
-
What is included in a dropship fee?
- Dropship fees collected by CommentSold include product cost and shipping.
-
When are fees collected for dropship orders?
- If a customer pays for an order using Stripe (e.g., a credit card or CS Payments) or Klarna, then CommentSold collects fees at the time of order and passes the remaining amount to you.
- If a customer pays for an order using a non-Stripe method (e.g., Sezzle or PayPal), then CommentSold charges your CS Payments account for the dropship fees 8 days later.
- Note: The usual commission and processing fees still apply to dropship orders.
-
Where can I view the charges for a specific dropship order?
- You can use the Shipping Cost Report highlighted in this article. Head to Dropship > Reports to run the report.

I’m looking at the details of a CS Payments payout and see a line called “Transfers.” What is a transfer?
- Typically the “Transfer” amount is the bulk charge for dropship fees for orders paid with a non-Stripe/CS payment method (e.g., Sezzle, PayPal, etc.) placed 8 days prior. For example, if the payout detail you’re looking at is from July 11th, then you’re viewing fees for non-Stripe orders placed July 3rd.
- Transfers can also include a 1% fee for an instant payout. Instant payout fees appear in the “Transfer” amount for the next non-instant payout.
- Last, Transfers can also include the additional Dropship costs owed for a Stripe order if the total order is less than the cost. For example, if a product costs $20 and sells for $50 and the customer uses $45 in account credit, they only need to pay $5. CommentSold collects this $5 from the original charge, but since the product cost is $20, a Transfer is created to collect the remaining $15.
-
How do I get more information about an order that might be included in the “Transfer” amount?
- While we are working to add a breakdown of this information to our Dropship Reporting, you can contact our Support team for assistance obtaining specific details about a “Transfer” amount.
-
Why am I paying fees when I haven’t sold dropship products in the last few days?
- CommentSold processes fees for non-Stripe orders (e.g., Sezzle, PayPal, etc.) on an 8-day delay.
- We cannot control how quickly your other partners and payment processors deposit your earnings. Therefore, to avoid stress on your bank account, we delay collecting fees to allow time for you to receive earnings from your partners and payment processors.
- CommentSold processes fees for non-Stripe orders (e.g., Sezzle, PayPal, etc.) on an 8-day delay.
-
Why did my bank account get charged?
- CommentSold deducts dropship fees for non-Stripe (CS Payments) orders such as Sezzle or PayPal, or via TikTok. Fees are deducted 8 days after a dropship order is placed. CommentSold will only charge your CS Payments bank account if your CS Payments balance is higher or greater than the fees amount.
- We recommend ensuring that the bank account connected to CS Payments is the same bank account that you receive payments from your other payment processors and partners to ensure you’re receiving the revenue and paying for the costs from the same place.
-
Why am I charged fees for TikTok orders before I even receive a payout from them?
- Some shops have experienced inconsistent payouts with TikTok. Unfortunately, we cannot control how long TikTok takes to pay a shop for orders placed through the platform. We collect fees for these orders 8 days after they’re placed to give TikTok (and your other partners and payment processors) as much time as possible to issue a payout to your store.
-
What is a negative payout?
- A negative payout occurs when the fees and costs associated with your orders exceed the revenue that is being deposited into your CommentSold (CS) Pay balance. This can happen when a significant portion of your sales are paid through non-CS Pay methods, such as PayPal, Sezzle, or TikTok, while the fees and costs for those orders are still deducted from your CS Pay balance. This could also occur if a significant amount of account credit or coupons are applied to orders, causing the collected payment to be lower than the costs of the dropship products.
-
What happens if I have a negative payout balance?
- If you have a negative payout balance, then CommentSold will charge the bank account connected to your CS Payments account to collect this balance.
-
Why does my payout appear negative even though I have sales?
- If you have sales where the payment was processed outside of CS Pay, the revenue from those sales is deposited directly by the respective payment provider (like PayPal or TikTok) and not into your CS Pay balance. However, your dropship costs associated with those sales—such as the product costs and the shipping fees—are still deducted from your CS Pay balance. This can result in a negative balance, as the fees are deducted but no corresponding revenue is added to the CS Pay balance.
- What should I do if I frequently see negative payouts?
- If you notice frequent negative payouts, it may be helpful to review the payment methods used by your customers and how they align with your CS Pay balance. Understanding which sales are processed outside of CS Pay and how those costs are being deducted can provide better insights. You can also reach out to CommentSold support for a detailed breakdown of your payouts and guidance on how to manage them.
-
Are there any upcoming changes to address the negative payout issue?
- Yes, CommentSold is actively working on new reporting features that will provide you with a clearer understanding of payments and fees. These updates are designed to help you better manage your finances and avoid unexpected negative payouts.
-
Are items more expensive through CommentSold Dropship compared to ordering directly from Ave Shops or Trendsi?
- No, the prices for items from our platform partners, Ave Shops and Trendsi, are exactly the same on CommentSold Dropship if you order directly from them. We ensure that the same products and prices are maintained across both platforms so you can shop confidently, knowing there is no price difference. This will help address the misconception and clarify that prices remain consistent for these two partners.
