With the AI Clip editor, you can:
- Easily edit captions to ensure your videos are accessible to all customers, including those with hearing impairments.
- Customize video settings and captions to make your content more appealing and keep viewers engaged longer.
- Easily adjust clip length and settings, allowing you to tailor content to specific campaigns or audience preferences.
Navigate to AI Clip Hero Caption Editor
- Hover over the side menu in your CommentSold dashboard and select AI Tools.
- Hover your desired AI Clip and select Edit Captions.
- Or select the Expand View icon on your desired AI Clip and then select Edit Captions at the bottom right corner.
- Hover over the side menu in your CommentSold dashboard and select Live.
- Select Live History from the options available at the top.
- Select your desired Live to open the Live Statistics.
- Scroll down to the AI Clip Hero section.
- Hover your desired AI Clip and select Edit Captions.
- Or select the Expand View icon on your desired AI Clip and then select Edit Captions at the bottom right corner.
Edit Captions
- Select a word in the caption to open the word editor.
- Edit the text and select the check icon.
- Select the trash icon to discard the word.
- Select Reset Captions at the top right corner to revert all edits and deletions.
Note that you can add multiple words, but captions are limited to 40 characters per line.
Edit Clip Settings
- Adjust Video Settings.
- Select the Clip Settings button at the top right corner.
- Enable or disable the Fade In and Fade Out effects.
- Select your desired Font style.
- Trim Video Length.
- Select the Clip Settings button at the top right corner.
- Select the Trim Clip button.
- Use the sliders to adjust the Start and/or End times of the video.
- Once everything is set, select Save in the bottom right corner to submit your changes.
That’s it! You will be redirected back to the AI Clip Hero, where the edited clip will show as Processing. You will be notified once the processing is complete.
Note that during the processing of the clip, all the clip actions are disabled.

- Change video effects: Choose a short black fade-in and/or fade-out for the clip.
- Change caption font: Select from 4 different font styles (note: some styles may not highlight words clearly).
- Edit clip name: Edit the clip name (up to 255 characters).
- How do I edit the captions?
- Click on an individual word in the transcript under Edit Captions to display the word editor.
- What do the blue underline and red strike-through mean?
- Blue underline: The word was edited.
- Red strike-through: The word was deleted.
- Can I preview my changes before submitting?
- When a word is updated or deleted, the captions shown on the clip playback are updated in real-time.
- When the font is changed, the captions shown on the clip playback will reflect the selected font.
- When the video is trimmed, the video time bar will show the trimmed parts in grey, and captions within the trimmed time will be disabled.
- Note: Fade-in/Fade-out cannot be previewed at this time.
- Can I only edit one word at a time?
- Yes, this is a restriction from the API. However, you can add multiple words when editing a single word (up to 40 characters).

- Select the ‘Clip Settings’ button to display all available options.
- Can I revert my changes?
- Yes, you can reset both the caption and setting edits before submitting the video:
- Captions: Select the ‘Reset Captions’ button.
- Settings: Select ‘Reset’ under the settings drawer.

- Why did my clip review/rating/feedback disappear?
- When the clip is sent to the API, a new clip is returned, removing any previously entered review/rating/feedback.
- Can I submit edits on a clip more than once?
- Yes, once the clip is finished processing, you can submit edits again.
- Why can I not view or select any buttons on my clip?
- All clip actions are disabled until processing is completed.
