Expected Behaviors
- CommentSold syncs order fulfillment status, tracking info, inventory adjustments, returning product to inventory, refund status
- CommentSold does get commission on orders synced to CommentSold from Meta via Meta Business Extension.
- These orders are accounted for in orders reporting but not Insights reporting by sales channel.
Handling Returns & Refunds with Meta Commerce
Since the funds for the order are not collected through CommentSold, the refund is initiated through Meta.
- Return the products from the order in CommentSold.
- Returns will sync to Meta.
- Meta issues refund to customer.
- Then refund status syncs to CommentSold.
FAQs
Will my Meta orders appear in my Avalara tax reports, and do I still pay taxes to my state?
No. Meta collects and remits the taxes for those orders, so they won’t appear in your Avalara reports. You can access Meta reporting here.
