Meta Commerce allows you to sell your products directly through Facebook and Instagram, and now, you can seamlessly integrate it with your CommentSold account.
This integration benefits your shop by syncing your inventory across platforms, reducing manual work, and providing a unified shopping experience for customers. Shoppers benefit from a smoother, familiar experience on Meta platforms, with the ability to shop directly through Facebook or Instagram.

Step 1: Connect Your Meta Commerce Shop
Before you connect your Meta Commerce shop with your CommentSold account, you will need to add your Facebook Product Catalog from your CommentSold account to your Meta Commerce shop.
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Social Setup.
- Select Meta Business Extension from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Select Connect With Meta Shop to activate your Meta Business Extension.
- On the Facebook login pop-up, enter the login credentials for the admin account associated with your Facebook business page.
- Already logged in? If you’re logged into Facebook in another browser tab or window, you’ll bypass the login screen and proceed to the next step.
- Connect your Meta Commerce Shop.
- Select Get Started to set up your shop.
- Select your desired Business portfolios and then select Next.
- Select your desired Facebook Page and then select Next.
- Select your desired Catalogue and then select Next.
- Select your desired Ad account and then select Next.
- Select your desired Meta Pixel account and then select Next.
- Review the set-up and select Continue.
- Once your Meta Commerce Shop is connected to Facebook, select Done.
That’s it! You have successfully connected your Meta Commerce Shop with your CommentSold account.
Step 2: Select the Products to Sync
There are two ways to sync your products:
- Sync All Products with Collection Exclusions: Sync your entire product catalog while excluding specific collections.
- Sync Products from Specific Collections Only: Limit syncing to selected collections, offering more control over your product feeds.
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Social Setup.
- Select Meta Business Extension from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Select Change Sync Preference.
- Select Sync All Products and select Continue.
- Select the Product Collections you want to exclude from the sync and select Exclude and Sync Product Collection.
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Social Setup.
- Select Meta Business Extension from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Select Change Sync Preference.
- Select Choose Collections To Sync and select Continue.
- Select the Product Collections you want to include in the sync and select Sync Product Collections.
Step 3: Add your Meta Checkout URL
Copy your Meta Checkout URL from CommentSold
- From your CommentSold dashboard, select Social Setup in the side menu.
- At the top of the page, select Meta Business Extension.
- Scroll down to find the Checkout URL and copy the URL.
Build Your Meta Checkout URL
- Open your Facebook Business Account.
- A red notification banner at the top of the page will alert you that an update is available. Select Update Shop.
- Review the update details and select Get Started.
- Select Change URL.
- Select Start building URL.
- Paste the copied URL in the Enter checkout URL field and select Test Domain. Once done, select Next.
- Configure URL with products. Once done, select Next.
- Configure URL with promo code (Optional). Add a promo code, if any and select Next.
- Once done, select Save URL.
Disconnect Meta Commerce Extension
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Social Setup.
- Select Meta Business Extension from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Select the Deactivate button.
Troubleshooting Errors

Here are some common errors and their resolutions: Issue: Products not showing in the Catalog on FB Cause: Products may not be published/posted as required. Resolution: Products need to be both published to the webstore and posted to FaceBook to appear in the catalog. Issue: Edited tagging permissions but products are still tagged on posts without permissions Posts with shopping tags created before permissions are edited are not affected. You must manually remove tags from an existing post. Issue: Need to delete a catalog from FB
Issue: Meta order not syncing to CS Orders containing products added directly in Meta and not synced to Meta using the CommentSold product catalog will not sync to CS Issue: FB is showing the wrong Catalog URL

Did You Know?
- Meta Order Badge: Meta Commerce orders will have a dedicated badge in CommentSold for easy identification.
- Returns: You can set your shop to handle returns through an external site, like CommentSold. Meta will sync the return data, and the refund status will be visible in your CommentSold dashboard. More details on handling returns are available through [Meta’s Help Center].
- Refunds: Refunds must be processed in Meta Commerce. CommentSold does not allow refunds for Meta orders directly. When you issue a refund through Meta, the status will sync back to CommentSold.
