Ship Using Shippo

Shippo is a web-based shipping platform that provides shipping label rates for e-commerce orders. With the CommentSold–Shippo integration, Shippo provides shipping label prices while CommentSold remains the system where you create and print labels and fulfill orders.

To use Shippo with CommentSold, generate a Shippo API token and enter it in CommentSold > Setup > Shipping.

Locate Shippo API Token

1. Select Settings in the side menu of your Shippo dashboard.
2. In the Integration section of the side menu, select API.
3. Under Live Tokens, select Generate Token.
4. Copy or write down your API Token–you'll need to enter it in CommentSold.

Enter Shippo API Token in CommentSold

1. Select Setup in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
2. Select Shipping from the menu at the top of the page.
3. In the goShippo.com section at the top of the page, paste or enter your API Token in the corresponding field.
   • Don't see the goShippo section? Make sure you don't have CommentSold shipping enabled. This toggle is toward the bottom of the Shipping tab. Refresh the page once you've disabled the setting.
4. Select Update goShippo API Token.

You're now ready to ship with Shippo! You Shippo will send through label prices and you can print labels and fulfill orders through CommentSold.

What is Shippo?

Shippo is a web-based shipping platform that provides shipping rates and label services for e-commerce and small-parcel fulfillment.

Can I use Shippo with CommentSold?

Yes. CommentSold integrates with Shippo to provide Shippo shipping label prices directly in CommentSold. You can then create, print, and fulfill the order from CommentSold.

Do CommentSold orders sync to Shippo?

No. Orders are not synced from CommentSold into Shippo. The fulfillment workflow remains in CommentSold.

Where do I create and print Shippo labels?

You create and print shipping labels through CommentSold. Shippo provides the available label prices used by CommentSold.

Can I use Shippo for international shipping?

Yes. Shippo can be used to create and print international shipping labels. You must also configure your international shipping costs and settings in CommentSold.

Can I use Shippo and Flex Labels together?

No. Shippo cannot be used in combination with Flex Labels.

Where do I find my Shippo API token?

In your Shippo dashboard, go to Settings > Integration > API. Under Live Tokens, select Generate Token and copy the token.

Where do I enter my Shippo API token in CommentSold?

Go to Setup > Shipping in CommentSold and enter the token in the goShippo.com section. Select Update goShippo API Token to save it.

Why can't I see the goShippo section in CommentSold?

The goShippo.com section may not appear while CommentSold shipping is enabled. Disable CommentSold shipping from the Shipping tab, refresh the page, and check again.

Is my Shippo API token safe to share?

No. Your API token provides access to your Shippo integration and should be treated as sensitive information. Never share it publicly or with unauthorized users.
