Connect Google Analytics in CommentSold

About Google Analytics


Google Analytics (GA) is a web analytics service that allows retailers to analyze data about their webstore visitors. This data provides valuable insights that can help retailers build their business strategies.

To track your webstore activity using Google Analytics, you'll need to first create your free Google Analytics account. Learn more here. Once you've created your account, you can add your tracking ID to CommentSold.

How Google Analytics Benefits Your Business

Locate Your Google Analytics Measurement ID


 

  1. Select Admin in the bottom-left corner of your Google Analytics dashboard.
  2. Select Data Collection and Modification under Property settings from the side menu.
  3. Select Data Streams from the drop-down.
  4. Select the relevant Web Stream.
  5. Your Measurement ID is in the top-right corner. Copy the ID. You'll need to enter this in CommentSold.

Add Your Tracking ID in CommentSold


 

  1. Select Site Creator in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Settings at the top of your Site Creator.
  3. Select and expand the Marketing section in the side menu of your Site Creator.
  4. Select Ad Conversion Channels from the options listed.
  5. Select Google.
  6. In the Google Analytics section, paste your Tracking ID in the corresponding field.
  7. Select Update.

Locate Your Universal Analytics (UA) Tracking ID 


Note: Universal Analytics has been deprecated, but if you are still using it, follow the below steps.

 

  1. Select Admin in the bottom-left corner of your Google Analytics dashboard.
  2. In the Account drop-down, ensure you've selected your business.
  3. In the Property drop-down, ensure you've selected your webstore.
  4. Select Tracking Info in the Property column.
  5. Select Tracking Code.
  6. Copy the Tracking ID in the top-left corner. You'll need to enter this in CommentSold.

Add Your Tracking ID in CommentSold


 

  1. Select Site Creator in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Settings at the top of your Site Creator.
  3. Select and expand the Marketing section in the side menu of your Site Creator.
  4. Select Ad Conversion Channels from the options listed.
  5. Select Google.
  6. In the Google Analytics section, paste your Tracking ID in the corresponding field.
  7. Select Update.
