About Local Pickup
Local pickup offers an alternative shipping option for those customers who wish to purchase online but pick up their order directly from a shop's physical store or warehouse.
With CommentSold, you can offer local pickup at one or more locations.
How Local Pickup Benefits Your Shop
- Save on shipping supplies by offering local pickup to customers who live or work within a location's vicinity.
- Create a positive customer experience for those customers who would rather pick up an item than pay shipping costs.
- Offer local pickup at your brick and mortar location and give customers a chance to see (and shop!) your store.
Enable Local Pickup
- Select Setup in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Shipping from the menu at the top of the page.
- Locate the Delivery Method: Local Pickup section and select Enable Local Pickup.
- If desired, you can configure your Time to Delay Local Pickup Notification. Once you mark a local pickup order as fulfilled, this is the amount of time CommentSold will wait before notifying the customer that their order is ready for pickup.
- Enter your desired # of Hours in the field provided, then select Save.
Set Up Multiple Pickup Locations
If you have more than one location that offers local pickup, then you can set up these locations in CommentSold. You will need to enable local pickup before creating multiple locations.
- Select Setup in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Shipping from the menu at the top of the page, then select Multiple Locations.
- Select Enable Multiple Locations.
- To add a new location, select + Add and complete the following fields:
- Warehouse Name.
- City
- State.
- Zip Code.
- Street Address.
- Select Save.
- Ensure you've selected the Local Pickup checkbox for each location that will offer this service.
