CommentSold works with a range of standard retail, barcode, POS, warehouse, fulfillment, and shipping equipment. The equipment you need depends on how you use CommentSold, but common supplies include barcode scanners, thermal label printers, POS hardware, storage equipment, fulfillment supplies, and shipping supplies.

You do not need every item listed in this article. The product examples are recommendations; the most important consideration is choosing equipment that provides the required function and is compatible with CommentSold.

Live Sale Supplies and Equipment

Do I need special equipment to run a CommentSold live sale?
No. To get started with CommentSold live selling, you need a mobile device, the CommentSold Broadcast App, a computer, and a reliable internet connection. Additional equipment such as barcode scanners, lighting, and charging/network adapters can improve your live-selling setup.

Point of Sale (POS) Supplies

What equipment do I need for CommentSold POS?
CommentSold POS requires a compatible iPad and CS Payments. Additional POS equipment can include a card reader, receipt printer, barcode scanner, and cash drawer.

Important: You must be live with CS Payments to use CommentSold POS.

Warehouse Supplies

What supplies do I need for a CommentSold warehouse?
Warehouse supplies help organize products for storage and fulfillment. Common options include shelving, storage bins, shelf dividers, location labels, garment racks, utility carts, and mobile workstations.

Fulfilment Station

What should I include in a CommentSold fulfillment station?
Set up a dedicated fulfillment station for each team member who regularly fulfills orders. A basic station can include an organizer cart for supplies and an anti-fatigue mat for employees who stand while working.

Shipping Supplies

What shipping supplies work well with CommentSold?
Common shipping supplies include a shipping scale, 4" x 6" shipping labels, packing list envelopes, and poly mailers. Choose supplies based on your shipping volume, package sizes, and preferred presentation.

Additional Warehouse and Fulfillment Equipment

Additional equipment such as rolling step stools and adjustable-height workbenches can help make warehouse and fulfillment workstations easier to use.

	Dymo 4XL	Look for a thermal printer if you plan to print barcodes and labels. If you're just starting out, we recommend using the Dymo 4XL. This thermal printer prints up to 53 labels per minute.
	Dymo Labelwriter 450	Another option from Dymo is the LabelWriter 450. This thermal printer can print up to 51 addresses, file folders, and barcode labels per minute.
	Zebra ZT610 Printer	For higher volume shops, we recommend the Zebra ZT610. This industrial printer is an absolute workhorse. It will allow you to print up to 14 labels per second.
	Dymo Barcode Labels	These labels work with the Dymo 4XL and LabelWriter 450 printers and other Dymo printers. Note: We strongly recommend you use Dymo-brand labels. Retailers have reported that "Dymo compatible" labels often do not work.

	Zebra Symbol DS9208 Scanner	This Zebra scanner is a great option if you wish to scan products to display them on your live overlay. It has both handheld and hands-free modes, which make scanning easy. Though we highly recommend this scanner, CommentSold is also compatible with any 1D scanner that is a keyboard emulator.
	Tera Wired Handheld Scanner	This wired 2D barcode scanner uses a USB cable for connection. There is no need to install any driver or software. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android.
	Handheld phone scanner	This scanner can be used as a clip-on barcode scanner behind a mobile phone and as an ordinary standalone Bluetooth barcode scanner.
	Wireless Handheld Scanner	This scanner can use Bluetooth, a 2.4G Wireless connection with the included USB adapter, or a wired connection with the included USB cable. It's compatible with smartphones, tablets, computers, and register POS systems. Works with Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.
	Belkin 60W USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter Cable w/ with the newer iPhone USB-C adapter	The two most common interruptions of live sales are dying devices and slow internet. An all-in-one Ethernet and charge adapter will solve both of these problems.
	Neewer 18" Ring Light Kit	Ring lights are popular for live sales because they produce a consistent and flattering glow. We suggest at least one 18" ring light.
	Soft Box Lights	These lights help with background shadows for warehouses or live spaces that may have poor or harsh lighting. These can be placed out of view from the camera off to the side.

	Card Reader	CommentSold provides card readers to all retailers using CommentSold POS. Request your POS card reader here.
	Star Micronics TSP143III USB Receipt Printer (Recommended)	This USB printer will print out receipts for your customers. We recommend this printer over the Bluetooth printer below, which can be difficult to locate.
	Star Micronics TSP100III Bluetooth Receipt Printer	This Bluetooth printer will print out receipts for your customers. Note: This printer can be difficult to locate.
	Inateck Bluetooth Barcode Scanner	If you don't already have a barcode scanner, we recommend you invest in one for POS. Team members will be able to scan products rather than having to manually look up each product in the system.
	Generic RJ11 Cash Drawer	If you accept cash, you can use a cash drawer with POS. Most cash drawers will work if they have an RJ connection on the bottom. They will plug into the receipt printer, which is how they open automatically.
