Pricing and Margins

  • The Unit Cost is what the supplier is paid for the product.
  • The Retail Price is what the customer pays for the product.
  • The Margin is the percentage of profit you will make on the sale of the product.
  • The Minimum Profit is the total dollar amount you will make on the sale of the product.

Promotions, Discounts, & Credits

  • If you choose not to exclude dropship products from coupons, and the coupon drops the product below the value owed to the supplier for the product, you will incur a charge for the difference.
  • Dropship products do count in the subtotal qualification for a Free Gift with Purchase, if you have one set up.
  • Dropship products cannot be set as the free gift in the Free Gift with Purchase setup.
  • Gift cards, account credit, and coupons (unless excluded) can be applied to the purchase of Dropship products.

Pricing Restriction for Dropship Products

You cannot set the price of a dropship product below its unit cost. The unit cost is the amount paid to the supplier for the item.

Your profit margin is determined by how much you increase the price above this cost.
