Create engaging slideshows with full-width image and video panels in the order you specify. Use the different panels to feature your app, a sale, a new collection, social accounts, and more.
With an advanced slideshow, shoppers will be greeted by a stunning full-width slideshow featuring vibrant images and videos, seamlessly highlighting new collections, sales, and your app. This engaging visual presentation keeps their attention and encourages exploration.
Adding an advanced slideshow widget has three steps:
- Add an advanced slideshow widget to a page
- Customize the widget
- Publish the widget to your website and/or mobile app
Step 1: Add an Advanced Slideshow Widget to a Page
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Site Creator.
- Select Pages from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Select the three-dot icon to the far right of the desired page.
- Select Edit from the options listed.
- Select +Add Section at the top of the list.
- Select the Advanced Slideshow widget.
Step 2: Customize the Widget
- Locate the Advanced Slideshow widget, then select the pencil icon on the right side of the widget row.
- Customize widget slides, settings, navigation, etc. We detail these sections below.
- Your site preview will update to reflect the changes to the widget. When you are satisfied, select Publish in the top-right corner of the Site Creator to save the widget.
Slides
- Select Add Slides.
- Select Upload to launch your Media Gallery. From here, you can upload images or slides for the widget.
- Customize the slide:
- Enter a Headline for the slide.
- Enter a Subheadline for the slide.
- Enter a Button Text for the slide. This will redirect the shopper to your desired page or product collection.

Choose your Clickthrough option:
- Page. Use the drop-down to select an existing page or collection. You can also create a new collection by selecting + Create New Collection.
- External Link. Enter the URL for the external link.
- Enter a hex code for the Text Color.
- Select your desired Text Alignment.
- Using the Show Section On section, choose where you wish to publish this section. Options include All, Web, or App (website and mobile app).
- Repeat the steps to add more slides to the advanced slideshow.
Once you are done adding the slides, go back to the Page Section menu, locate the Advanced Slideshow widget, and select the pencil icon on the right side of the widget row.
Settings
- Customize the Transition for the widget.
- Using the Transition Style drop-down, select your desired transition style for the slides.
- Using the Transition Duration slider, select your desired transition duration for the slides.
- Using the Slide Delay slider, select your desired duration of delay for the slides.

Customize the Navigation for the widget.
- Enable the Show Arrows toggle to display arrows for going to the next or previous slide.
- Enable the Show Dot Indicators toggle to display navigational dots on the slideshow.
- Enable the Autoplay Slides toggle to autoplay slides.
- Enable the Loop Slides toggle to loop the slides.
- Enable the Pause On Hover toggle to pause the slides when hovered over.
Advanced and Linking
- Enable the Allow swiping toggle to determine whether the shopper can go to the next/previous slide by touching or using the mouse.
- Enter an Anchor Name, this will create a unique URL for this section.
Step 3: Publish the Widget to Your Website and Mobile App
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Site Creator.
- Select Pages from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Select the three-dot icon to the far right of the desired page.
- Select Edit from the options listed.
- Select the pencil icon on the right side of the desired widget row.
- Scroll down to Show Section On and choose where you wish to publish this section. Options include All, Web, or App (website and mobile app).
- Your site preview will update to reflect the changes to the widget. When you are satisfied, select Publish in the top-right corner of the Site Creator to save the widget.
