Add a Promotional Block Widget to a Website Page

Want to boost engagement and drive conversions on your website? Add promotional block widgets to highlight special offers and upcoming events for an action-driven browsing experience!

A promotional block immediately draws a visitor's attention with eye-catching offers and important announcements. As they browse, this widget highlights special deals or new products, making the information easy to spot and enticing. The clear and engaging presentation prompts visitors to take action, such as clicking through to learn more or make a purchase. 

For example a promotional block quickly informs visitors about upcoming events or limited-time offers as they navigate the site. This widget makes essential details easily visible, encouraging immediate interest. With its compelling design, it prompts visitors to register or participate, enhancing overall site interaction. 

Adding a promotional block widget has three steps:

1. Add the promotional block widget to a page
2. Customize the widget
3. Publish the widget to your website and/or mobile app

Step 1: Add the Promotional Block Widget to a Page

1. Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Site Creator.
2. Select Pages from the options listed at the top of the page.
3. Select the three-dot icon to the far right of the desired page.
4. Select Edit from the options listed.
5. Select +Add Section at the top of the list.
6. Select the Promotional Block widget.

Step 2: Customize the Widget

1. Locate the Promotional Block widget, then select the pencil icon on the right side of the widget row.
2. Customize widget layout, images and linking. We detail these sections below.
3. Your site preview will update to reflect the changes to the widget. When you are satisfied, select Publish in the top-right corner of the Site Creator to save the widget.

Layout

Expand this section to select the desired layout.

1. In the Title field, enter the name for the widget.
2. Select the desired layout for this widget. Options include Grid, Fancy Grid, or Carousel.

Images

Expand this section to customize the images for the widget layout.

1. Select Upload to launch your Media Gallery. From here, you can upload images for the widget layout. 
2. In the Title field, enter the name for the image.
3. Choose your Clickthrough option:
   • Page. Use the drop-down to select an existing page or collection. You can also create a new collection by selecting + Create New Collection.
   • External Link. Enter the URL for the external link.
4. Once done, select Save.

Linking

Enter an Anchor Name, this will create a unique URL for this section.

Step 3: Publish the Widget to Your Website and Mobile App

Once you customize the widget, you have the option to publish the widget to your Website, App or both. 

1. Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Site Creator.
2. Select Pages from the options listed at the top of the page.
3. Select the three-dot icon to the far right of the desired page.
4. Select Edit from the options listed.
5. Select the pencil icon on the right side of the desired widget row.
6. Scroll down to Show Section On and choose where you wish to publish this section. Options include All, Web, or App (website and mobile app).
7. Your site preview will update to reflect the changes to the widget. When you are satisfied, select Publish in the top-right corner of the Site Creator to save the widget.
