With CommentSold, you can process returns and refunds for full orders or specific products. Before processing returns, ensure your return policy is set and create return reasons in the Returns tab of your Setup page. Learn more here.

How Returns Benefit Your Business

  • A well-defined return policy builds customer trust and encourages future purchases.
  • Custom return reasons help track product return trends and improve inventory management.
  • A smooth return process enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Important Return & Refund Notes

  • You cannot refund more than the amount the customer paid.
  • Store credit cannot be refunded to a different payment method.
  • Ensure all return and refund steps follow your policy to maintain consistency.
  • Partial refunds are available through CS Payments, while third-party gateways (Stripe, Square, PayPal) require processing on their platform.
  • Sezzle orders must be refunded through Sezzle if the customer has not completed all installment payments.

Shopify Sync & Refunds

If you have Shopify Sync enabled, refunds for synced orders must be processed in both Shopify and CommentSold.  

If you're syncing Shopify orders to CommentSold through the MSM integration, refunds must be processed in Shopify, and the status will automatically sync back to CommentSold.
