Why This Matters
California state regulations require that businesses clearly display refund or return policies before completing a transaction. This feature allows you to meet that requirement by adding a visible link to your refund policy at checkout. Even if you're not based in California, this is a great way to build trust and transparency with your customers.
What You Can Display
- A short custom message (up to 250 characters)
- Optional hyperlink to your Refund Policy, Terms & Conditions, or any other relevant page.
- Useful for communicating last-minute information like return windows, shipping delays, or promotions.

Enable and Set up Custom Message on Checkout Page
- Select Website Content in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Preferences from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Enable the Display Custom Message on Checkout Page toggle.
- Enter your message (max 250 characters). You can include a hyperlink.
- Select Save in the bottom right corner of the page.
