You can now display a short custom message on your checkout page, ideal for linking to your refund policy or adding other important information you want your customers to see before completing their purchase.

Note: This feature meets California compliance regulations.

Why This Matters


California state regulations require that businesses clearly display refund or return policies before completing a transaction. This feature allows you to meet that requirement by adding a visible link to your refund policy at checkout. Even if you're not based in California, this is a great way to build trust and transparency with your customers.

What You Can Display


  • A short custom message (up to 250 characters)
  • Optional hyperlink to your Refund Policy, Terms & Conditions, or any other relevant page.
  • Useful for communicating last-minute information like return windows, shipping delays, or promotions.

Note: This feature is turned off by default and must be enabled manually.

Enable and Set up Custom Message on Checkout Page


  1. Select Website Content in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Preferences from the options listed at the top of the page.
  3. Enable the Display Custom Message on Checkout Page toggle.
  4. Enter your message (max 250 characters). You can include a hyperlink.
  5. Select Save in the bottom right corner of the page.
