Start Your Live Stream
First, you'll want to start your live sale broadcast on the CommentSold Admin app installed on the mobile device you'll be using for your live sale.
- Log in to your CommentSold Admin app. Use the same login credentials that you use to log in to your CommentSold dashboard.
- Tap the red record button. Don't worry—you're not live yet.
- Starting your live stream. From here you can;
- Choose to tap the Quick Live button in the top right of the app to quickly choose your products and live preferences and go live.
- Choose to open the Live Overview tab of your CommentSold dashboard and complete the steps to go live from there.
CommentSold automatically detects your stream. You should see a banner appear at the top of the page to indicate the strength of your broadcast.
Your live stream preview should refresh and display in the Live Stream Preview section. Do note that streams play on a slight delay. If your feed does not refresh, select Refresh Stream.
Make sure that the video and audio look and sound how you want them to for your live sale. If your video is blurry or choppy or if your audio isn't coming through, it could be that your connection is not stable.

Manage Your Live Sale
Once you are live, the bottom of the app and your Live Overview tab in CommentSold will refresh to show real-time comments from your shoppers.
During the live sale, you'll need to advance from one product to another in order to change the live overlay that your shoppers see. You can do this by swiping to the next product in the top of the app if you've chosen a product selection. If you chose Dynamic selection, you can;
- Select the product from the Product button in the lower-right corner of the app.
- Or scan the product barcode of a product to pull up the product details.
End Your Live Sale
When you're ready to end the live sale, you can select End Live Sale at the top of your live overview page or end the broadcast on the CommentSold Admin app by tapping the red End Live button.
If you created a dynamic product selection during your live (i.e., you scanned or added products on-the-fly), you will have the option to save this product selection. You can also post the products in the selection to your mobile app and/or webstore.
Shortly after you end your live sale, you will be able to view in-depth reporting in the Live History section of your Live page.

FAQs
What is the CommentSold Admin app used for?
The CommentSold Admin app lets you use a mobile device to broadcast your live sale. You can start your video and audio feed from the app while managing products, comments, and other live-sale settings from your Live Sale Overview.
Does starting the recording make my live sale public?
No. Starting the recording only starts the broadcast feed. You must select Go Live to begin your live sale.
Can I use the CommentSold Admin app on iOS and Android?
Yes. The Admin app supports live broadcasting on both iOS and Android devices.
Can I choose products before going live?
Yes. You can create and select a Product Selection before your live sale. You can also add products during the live by scanning a barcode or selecting products from the product listing.
Why should I clear the product overlay before going live?
If a product selection loads products into the live overlay, shoppers may see or attempt to claim those products before you're ready. Select Clear Overlay before going live if you want to start with an empty overlay.
Can I add products while I'm live?
Yes. You can scan a product barcode or select a product from the product listing in the app or in the Live Overview tab. Changing the selected product updates the live overlay shoppers see.
Can I see shopper comments during my live sale?
Yes. Real-Time Comments lets you view shopper comments while you're live. Team members can also respond by entering a comment and selecting Post.
Can I see where shoppers are watching from?
Yes. Live Overview can show where a shopper is viewing your live sale, such as the mobile app or a Facebook page.
Can I identify VIP shoppers and new customers?
Yes. The live overview can help you identify VIP shoppers and new customers during the live sale.
Can I save products added during the live sale?
Yes. If you added products dynamically by scanning or searching during the live, you can save them as a Product Selection when you end the sale.
Do I need a Product Selection for a live replay?
Yes. A Product Selection is required for shoppers to shop a live replay. If you added products during the live, save the dynamic product selection when you end the sale.
When can I view my live sale reporting?
After your live sale ends and the data is processed, you can view performance information in Live History under the Live section of your CommentSold dashboard.
How long does it take for a live video to process?
Video processing typically takes about half the length of the live sale. For example, a 60-minute live sale may take approximately 30 minutes to process before it is available for use as a Live Replay.
What happens if someone else on my team tries to start a live stream while someone else is already live?
They'll see a message that a live is in progress already and new live cannot be started yet.
