A product selection is a curated collection of items that shops can create for various selling opportunities. For example, shops can plan for an upcoming sale by adding items they want to feature in that sale to a specific product selection. Shops can also link multiple items in a Facebook post using a product selection.
How a Product Selection Benefits Your Shop
- Plan ahead for a future live sale by creating a product selection with all the products you wish to feature.
- Style different looks and feature all included items in a Shop the Look post on Facebook.
- Group items together for a collage post or collection live sale (e.g., Holiday Gift Guide, Must-Have Summer Coverups, etc.)
Create a Product Selection
Product selections contain more than one item. You can add items to a product selection individually or in bulk.
- Select Products in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Locate an item you wish to add to your product selection, then select the three-dot icon to the far right of the item row.
- Select Create Product Selection.
- On the following pop-up, complete the following:
- Product Selection Name. Give your product selection a name. For Shop the Look posts, you'll need to copy this name exactly, so it might make sense to keep it straightforward.

Identifier. You can change the identifier that shoppers type when claiming an item in a live sale or social post (e.g., SOLD 102 small). We do recommend you keep this identifier three digits to avoid claiming confusion when a shopper adds a variant, like a size (e.g., 12, 32, etc.).
- If you're a wholesaler using CommentSold, you'll need to change the identifiers to letters. This allows your shoppers to claim multiple packs/items with a single comment.
- Locate additional items you wish to add, then select Select.
- Select Save Product Selection at the bottom of the pop-up to save your selection.
- You can link the selection to a post you've already created or you can link it at a later time.
- Select Products in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select the checkbox to the left of each product you wish to include in your product selection.
- At the top of the product listing, select the green Selected drop-down.
- Select Create a Product Selection.
- On the following pop-up, complete the following:

You can view the potential revenue from the product selection beneath the list of included items at the top of the pop-up. This can help you set goals for a live sale and keep yourself accountable.
If you wish to change the order of items for a live sale, simply drag and drop the items until they're in the preferred order.
You can quickly view items in your newly created product selection by expanding the selection on the main Products listing.
Manage an Existing Product Selection
You can manage existing product selections on your Products page. This includes editing the name of the selection, changing products included in the selection, posting the selection to social platforms, and more.
- Select Products in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Locate the product selection you wish to manage.
- Scroll to locate the selection, or enter the name in the Search field at the top of the listing.
- Select Filter to filter the listing to only display product selections. Select Is a Product Selection then Apply.
- Select the three-dot icon on the far right of the product selection row, then choose the action you wish to complete.
Expand to view a description of all product selection actions.
- Link to Post. Link your product selection to an existing social post or live video.
- Edit Selection. Edit or add more inventory to the product selection.
- Add to a Collection. Add the products included in the product selection to a product collection listed on your webstore and/or mobile app.
- Remove from Collections. Remove the products included in the product selection from any product collection(s) where they are currently added.
- Post to App. Bulk publish all products included in the product selection to your mobile app. You can publish the product selection immediately or schedule it to publish at a future date.
- Publish to Webstore. Bulk publish all products included in the product selection to your webstore. This option is handy for bulk publishing products to your webstore. You can publish the product selection immediately or schedule it to publish at a future date.
- Create Scheduled Sale. Schedule a sale to include all products in the product selection.
- Print Live Helpers. Print a resource that lists the items in the product selection, including each item's barcode and details.
- Print Live Helpers with Location. Print a resource that lists the items in the product selection, including each item's location in your warehouse.
- Download Sales Report. Download a CSV containing sales metrics for the product selection and all included items.
- Remove. Remove the product selection from CommentSold.
