CommentSold provides Form 1099-K to eligible U.S. retailers who use CS Payments. You generally receive a 1099-K if you meet the applicable IRS reporting requirements for the previous calendar year.
Form 1099-K reports payment transactions processed through your account. It is an informational tax form and does not determine how much tax you owe.
You will receive a Form 1099-K if you meet all of the below criteria for the previous calendar year:
- You used CS Payments as a payment processing option.
- Your account/business is based in the U.S. (or your non-U.S. account is for a U.S. taxpayer).
- You generated more than $20,000 in total gross volume.
- You had more than 200 transactions.

Who receives a 1099-K from CommentSold?
You may receive a Form 1099-K from CommentSold if you use CS Payments and meet the applicable reporting requirements for the previous calendar year.

CommentSold partners with Stripe to file 1099 tax forms. Eligible retailers receive instructions from Stripe to confirm their tax information and delivery preferences through Stripe Express.
Stripe uses the email address associated with your CommentSold account to send your Stripe Express invitation.
Which email address does Stripe use for my Stripe Express invitation?
Stripe sends the Stripe Express invitation to the email address associated with your CommentSold account.

Can I get an electronic copy of my 1099-K?
Yes. Eligible retailers can access an electronic copy of their 1099-K through Stripe Express.
Stripe will send instructions explaining how to set up electronic delivery and access your tax forms.
What is Stripe Express?
Stripe Express is a Stripe platform that allows eligible recipients to manage their tax forms and update their business or personal information.
You can access Stripe Express through the web or the Stripe Express mobile app.
When will I receive my 1099-K?
The delivery date for your 1099-K depends on the applicable tax-year reporting requirements. Eligible recipients receive their tax forms through Stripe Express or by mail if they do not use electronic delivery.

Yes. You can use Stripe Express to update eligible business and personal information associated with your tax forms.
