Is My Ship Manager Order & Inventory Sync right for me?

If you meet the following conditions, My Ship Manager could be the perfect fit for your business.

  • You use both Shopify and CommentSold, and want to take advantage of CommentSold fulfillment benefits.
  • You have a single fulfillment location.
  • You’re still comfortable fulfilling any digital orders (like gift cards) in Shopify.
  • You’re aware that at this time, Shopify orders only auto-combine with other Shopify orders, and CommentSold orders only auto-combine with other CommentSold orders. For example, a Shopify order will not auto-combine with a CS mobile app order.

FAQs

What is My Ship Manager (MSM)?

My Ship Manager connects CommentSold and Shopify, helping you manage product inventory and orders across both platforms. The available sync plan determines how orders are handled and where you fulfill them.

What is the difference between Inventory Sync and Inventory & Order Sync?

  • Inventory Sync: Keeps inventory synced between CommentSold and Shopify. You fulfill CommentSold orders in CommentSold and Shopify orders in Shopify, or use ShipStation to manage fulfillment.
  • Inventory & Order Sync: Imports Shopify orders into CommentSold so you can use CommentSold fulfillment features, such as strict fulfillment, auto-combine, and bin locations.

Which MSM plan should I choose?

Choose Inventory Sync if you use both platforms and want to maintain separate fulfillment workflows or use ShipStation.

Choose Inventory & Order Sync if you want to manage fulfillment through CommentSold. This plan requires one fulfillment location. Some orders, such as gift card orders, must still be fulfilled in Shopify.

Can I use auto-combine with Inventory & Order Sync?

Yes. However, auto-combine only works for orders placed within the same platform. For example, Shopify orders can combine with other Shopify orders, and CommentSold orders can combine with other CommentSold orders. A Shopify order cannot combine with a CommentSold mobile app order.

What should I do if I need to resync my Shopify inventory?

Contact CommentSold Support for assistance with a full resync.

Can I use Inventory & Order Sync with multiple fulfillment locations?

No. Inventory & Order Sync requires one fulfillment location.

Are all orders fulfilled through CommentSold when I use Inventory & Order Sync?

No. Some orders, including digital orders such as gift cards, must still be fulfilled in Shopify.
