The Refer and Earn Program allows you to earn commissions by referring new shops to CommentSold. Share your unique referral link with other businesses, and when an eligible shop signs up and starts selling, you'll begin earning referral commissions.
Refer to a Shop
- Select Refer and Earn from the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Copy your unique referral link or share your QR code.
- Invite other businesses to sign up using your referral link.
Commission Eligibility
A referred shop must reach $1,000 in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) to begin generating commission for the referrer.
After eligibility is reached:
- You begin earning referral commissions.
- Commissions are calculated on the referred shop's net subscription fees and net sales commissions.
- Eligible commissions are paid for up to 12 months from the date the referred shop becomes eligible.

Set Up Payouts
Once you have shared the referral link, you must set up your payouts. Referral earnings are paid separately from your regular shop payouts. To receive referral commissions, you'll need to configure the payout method available in the Refer and Earn dashboard.
Referral earnings are paid through Stripe. To receive payouts, you'll need to connect a Stripe account. If you don’t have one, we’ll help you set one up during the process. Learn more about Stripe here.
Track Your Referrals
For a referral to be tracked correctly, the new shop must sign up using your referral link or QR code.
The Refer and Earn dashboard provides visibility into your referral activity, including:
- Referrals that have signed up
- Referrals awaiting eligibility
- Active referrals generating earnings
- Estimated and paid commissions
You can monitor the status of each referral and view your earnings as they become available.
