Seel Services Overview

Seel provides optional post-purchase protection and return management services that help improve the shopping experience while reducing the workload for your support team.

Depending on the services you enable, Seel can protect shipments, simplify returns, and offer additional coverage options for shoppers. Following are the available Seel services.

Seel Return Management


Seel Return Management gives you a complete solution for handling product returns from start to finish.

With Return Management, you can:

  • Create custom return policies
  • Offer customers a self-service returns portal
  • Manage all Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) from a centralized dashboard
  • Automate portions of the return process

This service is managed through the Seel Merchant Dashboard, where you configure your return policies and review return requests.

Seel Worry-Free Purchase


Worry-Free Purchase allows customers to add shipping protection to their order during checkout.

When shoppers opt in, their eligible orders are protected against:

  • Lost packages
  • Damaged shipments
  • Stolen deliveries

If an issue occurs during delivery, Seel manages the claims process directly with the customer.

Make it Returnable


Make it Returnable lets you offer returns on products that would normally be considered final sale.

This optional coverage helps shoppers feel more confident purchasing items that would otherwise be non-returnable.

With Make it Returnable, customers can:

  • Purchase optional return coverage on eligible final sale products
  • Return covered final sale items according to your configured Seel return policy

This feature can help increase conversion rates for final sale merchandise by reducing purchase hesitation.

Free Return Shipping


Free Return Shipping allows shoppers to purchase optional prepaid return shipping coverage for eligible non-final sale products.

When enabled:

  • Customers receive a prepaid return shipping label if they purchased the coverage
  • Coverage applies only to regular (non-final sale) products
  • Merchants continue to review and approve returns through the Seel Merchant Dashboard
  • Return policies, including return windows, resolution methods, and restocking preferences, are configured in Seel Return Management

Note: Seel Return Management must be enabled and configured before Free Return Shipping can be offered.

Some services depend on others. For example, Free Return Shipping requires Seel Return Management to be enabled because return approvals and policies are managed through the Seel Merchant Dashboard.
