Want to create templates to save you time when creating content and collection pages? Read on to learn how.

With templates, you and your team can save time when creating new content, blog, and collection pages. 

Site Creator allows you to create a template from existing content and collection pages, letting you save a tried-and-true design for future use. Once saved, you'll be able to select a template when creating a new page. You also will be able to manage templates through your template repository.

Save an Existing Page as a Template


  1. Select Site Creator in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Pages at the top of your Site Creator.
  3. Locate the page you wish to save as a template, then select the three-dot icon on the far right of the row.
  4. Select Save as Template.
  5. In the Save as Template pop-up, give your template a name that speaks to its purpose and/or design.
  6. Select Save.

Choose a Template When Creating a Page


  1. Select Site Creator in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Pages at the top of your Site Creator.
  3. Select + Add New Page at the bottom of the Site Creator side menu.
  4. In the Add New Page menu, select the Page Template drop-down and choose your desired template from the options listed.
  5. Continue customizing the page as desired.

Manage Templates


  1. Select Site Creator in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Appearance at the top of your Site Creator.
  3. Select Templates in the side menu of your Site Creator.
  4. Locate the template you wish to manage, then select the three-dot icon on the far right of the template row.
  5. Choose your desired action:
    • Rename Template. Edit the name of the template.
    • Delete Template. Delete the template from the template repository. This action cannot be undone.
