Enable Combine Orders
For auto-combining orders to work, you must first enable Combine Orders on your Fulfilment Settings.
- Hover over the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard, then select Setup.
- Select Fulfillment from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Locate Combine Orders and then enable the toggle.
- Enter a number for Max Items to Combine Per Order.
- You might want to set a limit on combined items per order to manage shipping costs and packaging efficiency. For example, if shipping more than five items significantly increases shipping label costs, you can set the limit to five or fewer. This helps control expenses and ensures packages are a convenient size for handling and delivery.
- Select Save.
How Does Combined Order Shipping Work
CommentSold combines eligible orders with the same shipping address at the shipping level. The individual orders remain separate on the Orders page, but their items are grouped together when preparing the shipment.
When orders are combined, the combined shipment appears:
- On the packing slip
- During shipping label creation
- On the final shipping label
- During Manual Fulfillment
- During Scan Fulfillment
The original orders are not merged into a single order. They remain individually visible on the Orders page while being shipped together.
