Live replays allow shoppers to access your live sales long after they've ended in your mobile app and webstore.
With live replays, shoppers can watch the video and browse featured products just as they would during a live sale. They can also view comments, reactions, and other interactions from the original live broadcast.
No matter when a shopper chooses to shop a replay—whether it is the day after or a month later—the inventory information in the live sale overlay will always reflect current inventory availability and update in real-time.
How Live Replays Benefit Your Shop
-
Allow shoppers to "Shop the Replay" on your webstore and mobile app.
- Link to a specific product's featured moment in product-centric ads across Facebook and Instagram.
Publish Live Replays on Your Webstore and Mobile App
The Live History page lets you manage all past live sales. You can rename a sale, access performance data, and choose whether to show a live replay on your webstore and/or mobile app.
- Select Live in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Live History from the menu at the top of the page.
- Locate the live sale you wish to publish.
- In the Show Replays column, select the App and/or Web checkboxes.
Auto-Post Live Replays
Auto-posting is a setting that will automatically publish live sale replays once a live sale broadcast ends. You can auto-post to both your webstore and mobile app; however, you will enable this setting for each channel in a separate location.
- Select Live in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Shop from the menu at the top of the page.
- In the Selling Preferences section on the right side of the page, locate Autopost Live Replays to your Webstore.
- Select the toggle so it appears as Enabled.
- Select Mobile App in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Settings from the menu at the top of the page.
- In the Live Sales section, locate Autopost New Live Replays on the right side of the page.
- Select the toggle. CommentSold will notify you once the setting is enabled.
Link to a Specific Product in a Live Replay
You can copy the link for a specific product featured in a live sale replay if you wish to share it with customers or post it on social. The link will take the shopper directly to the timestamped moment when you scanned the product or selected it in the Live Overview.
- Select Live in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Live History from the menu at the top of the page.
- Locate the live sale whose product(s) you wish to link. Ensure you have published it to your webstore by selecting Web in the Show Replays column.
- Select the live sale Name.
- In the Featured Products section on the right side of the page, locate the product you wish to link.
- Select the blue arrow to the left of the product name. CommentSold will notify you once the URL is copied.
CommentSold copies the product URL to your device's clipboard. You can proceed with pasting the URL where desired.
What Your Shoppers Experience
The live replay experience is similar on both your webstore and mobile app. Each will feature a REPLAY banner in the top-left corner of the feed, letting shoppers know they're viewing a previously recorded live sale.
On the webstore, shoppers can watch the video and browse items in the product selection just as they would if shopping during a live sale. Add live sale replays to your webstore navigation and homepage to make it easy for shoppers to locate a sale.
All live replays will show at the top of your app's home screen under Shop Previous Live Sales. Once tapped, shoppers can watch, browse, and shop the video just as they would if shopping a live sale in your mobile app.
