Using email marketing tools is a powerful way to activate your customer segments and generate more sales. To learn more about Customer Segments insights, click here. To access the dashboard, within your CommentSold account, navigate to the Insights tab from the side menu and then Customer Segmentation.
Using Klayvio with Customer Segments
Several of the Customer Segment personas might already receive automated flows you have set up within Klaviyo.
For example:
- A MIA Maggie or Lurking Lisa might have received your Winback flow if it’s triggered to send 30-60 days after an order has been placed.
- A Dependable Debbie or One-Hit Holly might have received your Post Purchase Follow-Up Flow after they placed their last order.
However, we recommend retargeting these personas with email and/or SMS campaigns as well to ensure they’re touched multiple times and with personal content. We’ve created a few Klaviyo email templates for some of these personas you can utilize when sending these user's campaigns. If you’d like more information on these templates, email us.
To utilize your Customer Segmentation CSVs in Klaviyo, follow these steps:
- Within your CommentSold Insights > Customer Segmentation tab, select the number above the persona you want to target. This should open a pop-up window with the CSV available for download. Select Download.
- At the next pop-up window, select Advanced data options. Under Number of rows to include, select All results and then select Download.
- Within Klaviyo, navigate to your Lists & Segments tab and select Create New > Create List. Title your list with the persona you previously downloaded, along with the date. Select Create List.
- While still in that new List you just created, go to Settings > Consent > Opt-in process and select Single opt-in.
- While still in your list, navigate to Imports > Import Contacts > Upload > Select the previously downloaded CSV.
- At the next screen, you’ll want to select all the data you’d like to import from your CSV, such as Customer Segmentation Broad, Customer Segmentation Detailed, First Name, and Favorite Category. Select as many data points as you’d like.
- Ensure all your checked data points are mapped. After you check the checkbox for a data point, such as the Customer Segmentation Broad, select the Klaviyo profile property drop-down menu. Then select + Create New Field. Repeat these steps for all brand-new data points.
- After you’ve selected your preferred data points and all your data is mapped, select Next.
- At the next screen, select No, import without updating subscription status. This ensures you don’t manually subscribe to someone who has unsubscribed in the past. Then select Import.
- Once your import has been completed, you can start targeting this list with specific content based on their persona.
Note: These instructions are specific to Klayvio, which is already integrated with CommentSold. However, you can also use the Customer Segment persona lists with other email marketing tools. |
