Payment methods and checkout experiences can vary based on your shop's payment gateway, the customer's device, account, and saved payment information.

Payment Gateway Options
If you're using Stripe or CSPay, you have access to a wide range of payment methods. This offers your customers the flexibility to choose their preferred way to pay, resulting in a smoother checkout experience.
Payment Options Include:

Note: You do not incur any additional fees for orders processed using Google Pay. The fees applied will match the credit card processing rates associated with your selected payment processor:
You can verify your specific rate in your payment provider's dashboard or under Setup > Payment Gateways if using CommentSold Payments. In short, Google Pay is treated like a standard credit card purchase—there are no extra fees, just your existing processor’s rates. |

Express Checkout (Buy Now Button)
The Buy Now button offers shoppers a faster, single-step checkout experience directly from your product detail page (PDP). When enabled, customers can instantly begin checkout, without needing to add items to their cart first.

When the Buy Now button appears
Shoppers will see the Buy Now button only when all of the following conditions are true:
- The shopper is logged into their account
- The product detail page (PDP) is being viewed from a live stream
- The shopper has no existing items in their cart
- The API returns buy_now_eligible = true for the shopper
How Express Checkout works
When a shopper selects Buy Now:
- Their most recently used shipping address will auto-apply
- Seel/Redo protection will apply automatically based on your app setup and the shopper’s last election
- Checkout will open in a full-screen checkout webview
If the shopper has account credit available, they can enable it using the checkbox during checkout. Note: this option is not selected by default.
Here are some expected behaviors you should be aware of:
- Will not show for guest checkout
- Will not show if the customer has no previous order history
- Will not show if the customer's cart contains more than one item
- Will only work for shops that have PayPal connected

Managing Payment Gateways
If you're using Stripe or CSPay, you'll now see a new subtab titled Stripe under Setup > Payment Gateways. You can see details related to your Stripe account such as Professional, Public, Personal, Linked accounts, and Payout. You can edit these details by selecting Edit at the right corner of each block.

What payment methods does CommentSold checkout support?
Depending on the shop's payment gateway and customer eligibility, CommentSold checkout can support Apple Pay, Google Pay, Instant Bank Payments, card payments, Klarna, PayPal, Sezzle, and Link.
Does Google Pay have an additional processing fee?
No. Google Pay uses the applicable credit card processing rate from your payment processor. There is no additional Google Pay fee.
What is the Buy Now button?
Buy Now is CommentSold's express checkout option. It allows eligible logged-in shoppers to start checkout directly from a product detail page during a live sale without first adding the product to their cart.
Who can use Buy Now?
Buy Now is available to logged-in shoppers who are viewing a product during a live sale, have previous order history, have no existing items in their cart, and meet the API's buy_now_eligible requirement. The shop must also have PayPal connected.
Does Buy Now work for guest shoppers?
No. Buy Now is not available for Guest Checkout.
Does Buy Now work if the customer already has items in their cart?
No. Buy Now requires the shopper's cart to contain no existing items.
Does Buy Now work if the customer has never placed an order?
No. The shopper must have previous order history.
Where does Buy Now appear?
The Buy Now button appears on eligible product detail pages viewed from a live stream.
Which payment methods are available with Buy Now?
Buy Now supports Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Link.
Does Buy Now automatically apply the customer's shipping address?
Yes. The shopper's most recently used shipping address is automatically applied when they select Buy Now.
Does Buy Now automatically apply Seel or Redo protection?
Seel or Redo protection is applied automatically based on the shop's app configuration and the shopper's previous protection selection.
Is account credit automatically applied during Buy Now checkout?
No. If the shopper has available account credit, they can choose to apply it using the checkout checkbox, but the option is not selected by default.
Where can I manage my Stripe payment gateway?
Go to Setup > Payment Gateways > Stripe to view and manage available Stripe account information.
Why can't a customer see a particular payment method?
Payment method availability can vary based on the customer's device, account, saved information, payment gateway configuration, and other eligibility requirements.
