Delete and Restore Products

You can delete or restore products and their variants in CommentSold to keep your product catalog clean and up to date. Whether you’re removing discontinued items or restoring products previously removed, you can easily manage this process from your Manage Products page.

Note

  • Deleted product selections cannot be restored.
  • Deleting product selections only deletes the product selection itself, not the products associated with it.

Delete Products or Variants

  1. Select Products from the side menu of your CommentSold Dashboard.
  2. Select the checkbox next to the product(s) you want to delete.
  3. Select Delete Products from the blue Selected Items drop-down.
  4. Select Delete when prompted.

Once deleted, products will move to your Deleted Products section under the blue Manage Products drop-down, where they can be restored later if needed.

Restore Deleted Products Or Variants

  1. Select Products from the side menu of your CommentSold Dashboard.
  2. Select the Deleted Products under the blue Manage Products drop-down.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the product(s) you want to restore.
  4. Select Restore Products from the blue Selected Items drop-down.
  5. Select Restore when prompted.

You can also view and restore products under the Deleted Products tab under the Products drop-down from the side menu of your CommentSold Dashboard.

 

The product will be moved back to your active product list with its previous details intact.

Expected Behaviors

Deleted products will still show:

  • In customer order history
  • Live History Statistics
  • Order details section of your Orders/Fulfillment tab

Deleted products will no longer be viewable in:

  • Collections
  • Product Selections
  • Popclips
  • Scheduled sales
  • CommentChat flows
  • Customer lists (abandoned items, favorites, waitlists, expired items)
  • Customer carts
  • Product feeds
  • Live Replays
  • Secondary Offer
  • Searches
  • Product section of the Live Overview

Restoring products will not restore them:

  • In customer carts
  • In customer Expired Items list

Note: Deleting products will remove any waitlist pre-authorizations.
