The Units Sold Counter is a social proof feature that displays how many units of a product have been sold. This helps build trust, create urgency, and increase conversions.
Expected Behavior
- Displays the total units sold across Web, App, and Live sales using an all-time count.
- Automatically refreshes every 15 minutes to keep data up to date.
- Applies rounded values for a clean UI (e.g., 100+, 1.2K+ sold).
- The counter is only eligible to display once a product has reached a minimum of 5 units sold.
- Styled using your selected brand color.
- System-generated only, manual edits are not supported.
- Includes sales from all channels (Web, App, Live).
- Returns and cancellations are not deducted from the count.
- Requires Order Sync (not supported for MSM inventory-only shops).
- Where it appears:
- Mobile App: PDP, Product Grid, Live Product List, Live PDP
- Website: PDP (Full & Quickview), Product Grid, Live List, Live PDP
Enable Units Sold Counter
- Select Setup from the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select Shop from the options listed at the top of the page.
- Enable the Show Units Sold Count toggle under Selling Preferences.
- Customize how you wish to show the units sold count:
- Show on App. Enable the toggle if you wish to show the count on the Mobile app.
- Show on Website. Enable the toggle if you wish to show the count on the Web.
- Sold Count Color. Choose the color for the sold count text across all products.
- Sold Count Threshold: Set the minimum number of units sold before the counter is displayed (default: 5, minimum: 5). The counter will only appear once a product has sold at least five units.
- Once done, select Save & Apply.
Customize Units Sold Counter for Products
- Select Products from the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select your desired product.
- Select the Display Units Sold Count checkbox.
- Customize how you wish to show the units sold count:
- Control visibility on Website and Mobile App by enabling the toggle, or select the Use global visibility settings checkbox to select the default visibility settings under Selling Preferences on the Shop Setup page.
- Sold Count Threshold. Set the minimum number of products sold before the counter is shown, or select the Use global threshold value checkbox to select the default threshold settings under Selling Preferences on the Shop Setup page.
- Once done, select Save at the top right corner of the page.
- Select Products from the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select the checkbox beside your desired products.
- Select the blue Selected drop-down.
- Select Manage Product Counter from the drop-down.
- Customize how you wish to show the units sold count:
- Select if you wish to Turn OFF or ON the Unit Sold Counter for all selected products.
- Control visibility on Website and Mobile App by enabling the toggle, or select the Use global visibility settings checkbox to select the default visibility settings under Selling Preferences on the Shop Setup page.
- Sold Count Threshold. Set the minimum number of products sold before the counter is shown, or select the Use global threshold value checkbox to select the default threshold settings under Selling Preferences on the Shop Setup page.
- Once done, select Save.
