Want to offer customer support to your webstore and mobile app shoppers? Connect your Intercom account and add live chat to the shopping experience.

As a CommentSold retailer, you can connect your Intercom account to add live chat support to your webstore and mobile app.

All you need to get started is:

Connect Intercom to Your Webstore


  1. Select your Account icon at the bottom of the side menu of your Intercom dashboard.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Installation in the left submenu, then select Web.
  4. In the Install chat for visitors section, select With an Integration on the right side of the page.
  5. Select the Copy workplace ID button to copy your ID to your digital clipboard.
  6. In CommentSold, select Setup in the side menu.
  7. Select More Integrations from the options listed at the top of the page.
  8. Locate the Intercom section and paste your workplace ID in the field provided.
  9. Select Save.

Connect Intercom to Your Mobile App


  1. Select Mobile App in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Settings from the options listed at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll and locate the Intercom section.

  1. In Intercom, select your Account icon at the bottom of the side menu.
    • Select Settings.
    • Select Installation in the left submenu, then select iOS.
    • Locate and copy your App ID.
  2. In CommentSold, paste this ID in your Intercom App ID field.
  3. Select Save.
  Note: Your iOS API Key and Android API Key will copy and appear as a string of letters and numbers. The above example shows these items as asterisks for privacy. You should never share API information publically.
