CommentSold’s new, easy-to-use Insights dashboard empowers you with confidence to make data-driven decisions that increase profitability and grow your business!
The TikTok Insights dashboard helps you gain an understanding of your overall TikTok business, with both lifetime and time-restricted metrics, so you can make better posting, buying, selling, and customer service decisions.
If you ever disconnect your TikTok integration, your TikTok Insights tab will disappear; however, the data will always remain. This means if you reconnect TikTok at a later date, any data from your previous use of TikTik (such as all-time data) would become visible and searchable again.
TikTok Insights Data Sets
There are four sets of data on your TikTok Insights tab: Metrics for All-Time, Metrics for Last 7 Days, Metrics for Filtered Date Range, and Marketing Data. We walk through these data sets on the below tabs.
Data Set | Information Displayed | How You Can Use It |
Total Orders | Displays the total amount of orders placed via TikTok since you began selling on TikTok via CS. | This data informs you on your lifetime TikTok selling journey. |
Net Receipts |
Displays the total price of goods sold + sales tax and customer-paid shipping - customer coupons or credits since you began selling on TikTok via CS. |
This data informs you on your lifetime TikTok selling journey. |
Average Order Value (AOV) |
Display the average order value (net receipts per order) for items sold on TikTok since you began selling on TikTok via CS. Note: Ideally, you want your Average Order Value (AOV) above $40 per customer. |
If your AOV is under $40, first compare this figure to your AOV for the last 7 days or a particular filtered date range. If those numbers are above $40, no action is needed. If your all-time and time-restricted AOV is under $40, consider incorporating higher priced items in your shoppable posts/TikTok live sales, adding accessories, or creating a "shop the look" stye to increase AOV. |
Unique TikTok Customers | Displays the number of unique customers who have placed an order with you on TikTok since since you began selling on TikTok via CS. | This data informs you on your lifetime TikTok selling journey. |
These data points include the last 7 full days and does not include metrics from the current, partial day.
Data Set | Information Displayed | How You Can Use It |
Total Orders | Displays the total amount of orders placed via TikTok in the last seven days. |
Use this data to identify trends. For example, are there days when you have more orders? Can you identify behaviors that spiked your order total, or did you feature an item that sold very well? Use this information to adjust your selling behavior, such as posting more shoppable posts, going live at a particular time or on a particular day, or featuring a particular item that sold well. |
Net Receipts |
Displays the total price of goods sold + sales tax and customer-paid shipping - customer coupons or credits for the last seven days. |
Use this data to identify trends. For example, are there particular days your net receipts were higher or lower? Can you identify behaviors that caused a change in your net receipts, or did a particular item sell well (or not well)? Use this information to adjust your selling behavior such as featuring or eliminating a particular item, posting more shoppable posts, or going live more frequently. |
Average Order Value (AOV) |
Displays the average order value (net receipts per order) for items sold on TikTok in the last seven days. Note: Ideally, you want your Average Order Value (AOV) above $40 per customer. |
If your AOV is under $40, consider incorporating higher-priced items into your shoppable posts/live sales, adding on accessories, emphasizing an entire “shop the look” style, or even featuring a best-selling, hot item that is in a higher price range. |
Unique TikTok Customers | Displays the number of unique customers who have placed an order with you on TikTok in the last seven days. |
Use this data to identify trends. For example, are there days when your unique customer count was higher or lower? Can you identify behaviors responsible for the variations? Use this information to adjust your selling behavior, such as adding an additional live sale or posting more shoppable posts with hot items. |
Last 7 Days TikTok Net Receipts and Orders | Displays the number of orders and total net receipts from TikTok broken down by day. | Use this data to identify trends and to make sure you are on target with your weekly sales goals. |
Last 7 Days TikTok Percentage of Total Net Receipts |
Displays your net receipts (total price of goods sold + sales tax and customer-paid shipping - customer coupons or credits) from TikTok versus Non-TikTok orders for the last 7 days, broken down by day. |
Use this data to evaluate where you are getting your best ROI on your time and to identify behaviors that cause a higher or lower percentage of your total net receipts from TikTok. |
Last 7 Days TikTok First Time and Repeat Customers | Displays the total number of unique customers versus repeat customers on TikTok for the last 7 days, broken down by day. |
Use this data to determine if you are getting repeat customers on TikTok. If you want to increase the number of repeat customers, encourage your new customers to do a short video TikTok review and tag your shop or consider sending a thank you note to each new customer. NOTE: Because TikTok does not sync email addresses to 3rd parties, including CommentSold, there is no way to identify repeat or existing CommentSold customers outside of the TikTok app. |
Metrics in this section can be filtered by a particular weekly date range. The default date range is for the previous 6 full weeks, but you can choose any amount of time in weeks. Select Update to apply your date range to these data sets.

Use this date to determine which products are selling well on TikTok and which are not. Use this data to inform your buying decisions going forward. For example, if you know that Judy Blue mid rise, boot cut jeans are a hot item for you, consider buying more deeply and creating targeted, repeated content around that item. |

All Time TikTok Customer Marketing (Not Filterable) | Displays a list of your unique customers from TikTok, with TikTok Customer ID, customer name, and customer address. |
TikTok does not sync customer email addresses with 3rd parties, including CS. However, they do provide the name and shipping address of customers. Our recommendation is that you use this list to send targeted postcards to your TikTok customers with a QR code for downloading your app and a special coupon code for 1st time app purchases (make it something unique to your TikTok shoppers, such as TIKTOK15, so that you can track its usage in CS). |
