The Mobile Apps dashboard brings together your mobile app user metrics, activity, and live sale behavior into one place. It’s designed to help you quickly identify high-value segments of your mobile app audience that you can target with marketing campaigns, re-engagement flows, or special offers.
With this dashboard, you can:
- Understand how your mobile app user base is growing over time.
- See how many users have notifications enabled and which platforms (Android/iOS) they use.
- Track app version adoption to ensure shoppers are on the latest release.
- Identify users who are active but not purchasing, or inactive and at risk.
- Build targeted lists of live sale viewers, replay viewers, and high-value customers who haven’t purchased recently.

All charts in the Mobile Apps Insights dashboard are interactive and drillable. You can click into any chart segment to download specific app user details. For example, view specific user groups by device type, notification status, or app version.
Summary Metrics (for Selected Date Range)
The top summary section displays high-level user data for your selected date range, including total user devices, users with notifications enabled, and distribution by device type and app version.
| Metric | Description |
| Total User Devices | Total number of unique user devices that accessed your mobile app during the selected date range. |
| Users by Notification Enabled Status |
Number of user devices that have opted in to receive push notifications from your app. If a user has changed notification enablement in the date range selected, this will reflect the latest notification enablement status. |
| Users by Android vs iOS | Breakdown of your total user device base by type. |
| Users by Internal App Version |
Distribution of user devices across different app versions, helping you monitor adoption of the latest releases. In most cases, your internal app version matches the version shown in the App Store or Play Store. If your shop had a mobile app before moving to CommentSold, the versions may differ. For example, a “1” or “2” might be added to the start of the internal version (e.g.,, 4.1.0 > 14.1.0 or 24.1.0). Customers can view both versions at the bottom of their Account page in the app. If a user has changed the app version in the date range selected, this will reflect the latest app version. |
Users by Notification Enabled Status
This section visualizes how many users have notifications turned on versus off.
- The bar chart tracks this metric by day, showing how opt-in behavior trends over time.
Use this data to evaluate how effectively your app encourages notification permissions and identify opportunities to improve engagement through onboarding or in-app prompts.
Users by Android vs iOS
Compare user activity between Android and iOS platforms.
- The daily chart tracks how your audience evolves over time on each platform.
This helps you identify which platform drives more engagement and plan updates or testing accordingly.
Users by Internal App Version
Track adoption rates for each app version across your active user base.
- The bar chart tracks how those versions trend over time.
This data helps ensure that users are updating to the latest version, so they can take advantage of new features and bug fixes.
Mobile App User Target Consumer Lists
| Metric | Description | Application |
| App Activity but No Purchase in the Last 30 Days: Notifications Enabled | Users who were active in the app in the last 30 days but have not made a purchase in that period, and have notifications enabled. | Ideal segment for push notification-based winback campaigns (e.g., “We miss you!” offers, new arrivals, or personalized recommendations). |
| App Activity but No Purchase in the Last 30 Days: Notifications Disabled | Users who were active in the app in the last 30 days but have not made a purchase in that period, and have notifications disabled. | Great targets for email campaigns or other non-push channels. Focus messaging on value, newness, and reasons to enable notifications or return to shop. |
| No App Activity or Purchase in the Last 30 Days: Notifications Enabled | Users who haven’t opened the app or purchased in the last 30 days but have notifications enabled. | Use re-engagement push campaigns (e.g., limited-time promotions, major drops, or “We’ve saved you a spot” messaging) to bring them back. |
| No App Activity or Purchase in the Last 30 Days: Notifications Disabled | Users who haven’t opened the app or purchased in the last 30 days and have notifications disabled. | Rely on email, SMS (if compliant), or social retargeting to re-engage. Consider stronger incentive offers or “you’re missing out” messaging. |
Live Sale and Replay App Viewer Metrics
| Metric | Description | Application |
| Mobile App Viewer Conversion |
Displays a breakdown of viewer stats and conversion for live sales and their replay. Note: If a customer watches a live sale and carts an item, then the purchase is attributed to the “Live” section. If they watch a replay and cart an item, then the purchase is attributed in the “Live Replay” section. |
Identify conversion trends. Sort the table to view your top converting live sales (and replays). Once you’ve isolated the sales, take a moment to review the sale(s)--what type of products did you feature? Was there a promotion? Identify any trends |
App Viewer Target Consumer Lists
| Metric | Description | Application |
| At Risk and Lost Customer Viewing Live Sale in the Last 30 Days |
Displays a list of Top 10% “At Risk” and “Lost Star” customers who have viewed a live sale in the last 30 days, but have not made a purchase in that time. Note: “At Risk” stars are shoppers whose spending ranks in the top 10% in the last 180 days but have not purchased in the last 30 days. “Lost Stars” stars are shoppers whose spending ranks in the top 10% in the last 180 days but have not purchased in the last 60 days. |
Targeted email campaigns. Reach out to those customers watching your live sales (or live sale replays) and offer an incentive or VIP mobile-only promo to encourage a purchase. You can link them to an unlisted page you’ve published on your app where they can shop a curated collection or new products. |
| Active Viewers Without Purchases in the Last 14 Days | Displays a list of viewers who have watched 3 or more live sales and/or live replays in the past 14 days but have not made a purchase in that time. |
Targeted email campaigns. Reach out to customers you know are watching your live sales (or live sale replays) and offer an incentive to encourage a purchase. |
Live Sale and Live Replay App Viewer Lists
| Metric | Description | Application |
| Live Sale Viewers |
Displays a list of customers who viewed the filtered live sale, and shows if they made a purchase. If you haven’t selected a filter, then the list displays those customers who have made a purchase during a live sale since 8/1/23.
|
Reach out to purchasers and non-purchasers. For those customers who’ve made a purchase, send a thank you note! This is especially impactful if it was an important live sale, like a major promotion, product drops, or new hosts. For those who didn’t make a purchase, consider sending them a link to an unlisted collection where they can shop the products you featured in the sale. Offer a mobile-only promo code for that purchase of your next live sale if it makes sense for your business. |
| Live Replay Viewers |
Displays a list of customers who made a purchase during the filtered live sale’s replay. If you haven’t selected a filter, then the list displays those customers who have made a purchase during a live sale since 8/1/23. |
Hype up live sales. You can reach out to purchasers and non-purchasers separately, thanking them for their purchase or offering a promo for a purchase (if it makes sense for your business), but use this opportunity to hype the fun of your live shows. Let viewers know your live show schedule and what you get up to during the live–giveaways, games, live interactions, etc., and invite them to join you. |
