Disputes

Dispute Notification

CommentSold will show a banner at the top of the dashboard if the shop has active disputes that need action to be taken.

Dispute Status

Status will show here https://commentsold.com/admin/cs-payments/disputes

Evidence

Evidence can be submitted here https://commentsold.com/admin/cs-payments/disputes

This will depend on the type of dispute.

  • Not received - Provide a screenshot of the tracking from the shipping carrier, tracking number, dates - Order Date, Date order Shipped, Date order was delivered.
  • Product unacceptable - Provide any information in regards to the product descriptions, etc. We recommend a screenshot of the Product on the Webstore with images and descriptions, etc.

Dispute Timeline

  • This depends on the bank, and all decisions are made by the banking institution, not CommentSold. Most banks require evidence to be submitted for disputes within 30-60 days of the dispute.
  • After submission, the timeline for decision again depends on the banking institution. Once a decision is provided, the party that won the dispute will be credited.

Reporting

All dispute information and reports can be viewed here:

Charges

Viewing Charges

To view the orders made using CSPay:

  1. Select Setup from the side menu of your CommentSold.
  2. Select CommentSold Payments from the options listed at the top of the page.
  3. Select the Charges tab from the sub-options listed at the top.

You can use the export CSV button to export a spreadsheet of these orders. You can also select the info symbol to expand a specific charge and see the fee breakdown for that charge.

Balances

Viewing balances

The current balance section is not a real-time balance of the current orders. It is on a rolling basis. (See payouts)

Fees

Fees include both credit card processing fees and CommentSold commission fees.

What if the shop doesn’t have enough in their CS Pay balance to cover the charge?

We will deduct the amount from the card on file. If that card is declined, we reserve the right to disable their dashboard until payment is recovered.

Payouts

Transaction Types

When viewing the payout details breakdown, you may see a variety of different transaction types.

Transfers

Negative amounts listed as “Transfers” on the CS Payments Payouts tab indicate one of the following:

  • A dropship sample purchase from the dropship catalog.
  • A customer has purchased a dropship product and used a non-CSPay method (PayPal, Sezzle, etc) to checkout.

Adjustments

  • Adjustments account for additions or deductions from your balance that are made outside of the normal charge/refund flow.
  • A common reason for adjustments is refund failures, such as a card issuer's unable to issue a refund to a closed account that is returned to you.

Payout Frequency

  • Payments will be deposited every business day. Money made during business hours on Monday will be rolled into the payout that is generated on Tuesday and deposited on Wednesday.
  • Weekdays, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

How are payouts calculated?

  • Pending payouts are calculated from 7 PM CST to 7 PM CST the following day. Transactions processed through CS Payments after this timeframe will be batched with the next day’s transactions.
  • Here’s an example;
  • Total sales made through CS Payments after 7 PM CST May 2nd + Total sales made through CS Payments before 7 PM CST May 3rd are batched into the payout for May 4th.

View Payout Details

Go to CommentSold Payments > Payouts tab.

  • The Created Date is the date the payout was created from a series of transactions (charges and refunds).
  • The Arrival Date is the date the payout is deposited in your bank account and should show up on your bank statement.
  • For each Payout, you can tap or click View for a payout summary.
  • The Summary breaks out the details of what is contained in this payout.
  • The Transactions section lists the transactions contained in this payout, the Charges collected and the Refunds that were processed in the payout timeframe.
  • Each payout summary lists the transactions included for that payout. Any full or partial refunds included in the transactions for this payout are included in the summary and transaction list. This is based on the date of the Refund, which could apply to a Charge collected on a prior date.

Why is the payout amount negative?

  • Negative transactions can be a result of instant payout discrepancies, returns, dropship sample orders, or capital loan payments.
  • When you select an Instant Payout amount, that amount is based on the current balance, not based on transaction dates.
  • Requesting an instant payout at the same time that a regular payout is in progress can lead to overpayment, and your account will be debited for the amount of overpayment.
  • If you experience a negative payout, it can throw off the pending balance calculator for a few cycles, resulting in the pending balance showing 0 when it is not.
