What you need to know:

  • You can set up CS Payments if you’ve been active with CommentSold for 50 orders or have generated $5k in GMV.
  • Any transactions processed before 7 pm CST are paid out within 24-48 hours. Payouts will not be deposited on weekends and bank holidays.
  • CS Payments offers rapid payouts for all customers, meaning payments will be routinely deposited every business day that is not a bank holiday.

  • The standard rate for CS Payments is 2.9% per transaction, plus a $0.30 charge per transaction.

Step 1: Contact CommentSold Support

Once you have processed your first $5K in revenue through CommentSold, you can enroll in CS Payments.

Our Support Team can get the ball rolling on setup. Reach out to them via chat to request getting started.

  1. Select the Chat button in the lower-right corner of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Let our team know you're ready to get started with CS Payments.

Our Support team will take care of the necessary work on our end to get this process started. You'll know you're ready to proceed with CS Payments when you see the below banner at the top of your CommentSold dashboard:

Your CommentSold Payments account needs attention. Go to Payment Gateways and click the Update Configuration button to provide the requested information

Step 2: Configure CS Payments

Setting up CS Payments in CommentSold includes two steps: registering your account and adding bank details.

Register Your Account Add Bank Details

  1. Select Setup in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Payment Gateways in the menu at the top of the page.
  3. In the CommentSold Payments section, select Register Your Account.
  4. CommentSold will redirect you to a registration page. Complete the required fields, selecting Continue at the bottom of each page. Once complete, the page will refresh and direct you back to CommentSold.

Your CS Payments section should display the following status: CommentSold Payments account migration being processed. You can proceed with entering your banking details.

Once you've registered your CS Payments account and added your bank details, our team will review and verify the details. CommentSold migrates retailers onto CS Payments once a week on Fridays.

You will know your business is on CS Payments when you see the option appear at the top of your Setup page:

Step 3: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication

While not required, this step is strongly recommended. Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your Super Admin account adds an extra layer of protection to the preferred banking information you entered, making it much more difficult for hackers to make unauthorized changes to your account.

  1. Select Setup in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
  2. Select Account in the menu at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll and locate the Enable Mult-Factor Authentication (MFA) via Email and select Enable.

Now, you will receive a 6-digit code at the email associated with your Super Admin account every time the Super Admin attempts to log into CommentSold. You will need to enter this code to successfully log in.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers

  • What is the payout schedule for CS Payments? Any transactions processed before 7 pm CST are paid out on the next business day (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
  • What if I need to refund a customer purchase made before enabling CS Payments? You will need to refund payments for any customer purchase made prior to enabling CS Payments from the platform that processed the original purchase (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.).
  • Will my shoppers see anything different after I migrate to CS Payments?
    • Shoppers won't see a difference if you migrate from Stripe to CS Payments. Any credit cards on file and waitlist preauthorizations will migrate into CS Payments, so shoppers will not need to re-enter their credit card information.
    • If you are migrating from Square, then customer information will not be transferred. This includes any saved credit cards and reauthorization. Customers will be prompted to re-enter these details during their next checkout process. Note: You cannot use Square as a payment gateway while also using CS Payments.

  • Can I use CS Payments if I have an active Stripe Capital Loan? If you have a Stripe Capital loan, we can convert it to a CS Capital Loan (still managed by Stripe) and then transition your business to CS Payments.

    • Stripe generates all CS Capital Loan offers and displays them on your Inventory Capital tab.
    • Eligibility for a CS Capital Loan is based on a variety of factors, including your account’s transaction volume and history with CommentSold. Businesses are reviewed for eligibility on a daily basis, and Stripe will reach out via email once you are eligible for an offer.
    • If you have a question about your CS Capital Loan, please contact Stripe directly via email.
