To enhance account security, CommentSold now utilises Cognito-based authentication with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This update affects how all users, including Super Admins (Account owners) and Team Members, log in and manage account access.

What to Expect When MFA Launches

Once MFA is enabled, all users will be automatically logged out overnight. When logging back in, users will go through a brief one-time setup process.

Login Flow

  1. When you attempt to log in after the rollout, you’ll be prompted to sign in again.
  2. After logging in, you’ll be directed to the Account Security & Preferences page.

Set up MFA Method

Role MFA Requirement Notes
Super Admin (Account owners)  Must set up Authenticator App and/or SMS Required before leaving the setup page
Team Member Email MFA required (Authenticator/SMS optional) Super Admin assists with resets if only email MFA is set
Authenticator App SMS

  1. Select the SET UP button for the Authenticator App.
  2. Download the Authenticator App on your device.
  3. Scan the QR code displayed on your screen using the Authenticator App.
  4. Enter the Code from the App.
  5. Enter your Device Name (Optional).
  6. Once done, select Save.
  7. Select MAKE PREFERRED if you wish to mark this as a preferred MFA method.

Notes

  • If no MFA method is marked as preferred, you’ll be prompted to select one during login.
  • Setting a preferred MFA method helps ensure a smooth login experience and prevents interruptions.
