Adding a Team Member Account
When you're ready to add team members, you will create the user in CommentSold. Once created, you can assign their permissions to ensure you are giving the appropriate level of access to the information contained in your CommentSold account.
1. To add a team member as a user, visit the Team tab of your CommentSold dashboard.
2. Click the Add Member button in the top right.
3. On the following page, enter their Name, Email, and assign a Password.
4. Next, assign all permissions you deem appropriate for their role. You can hover over the "i" icon next to each permission's name to view what information can be viewed or managed with it.
Understanding Team Permissions
Permissions determine the level of access that your staff have to your store. You can assign a team member "All Permissions" to grant them permission to see or do anything in your CommentSold account. Or, you can assign a team member any combination of individual permissions that are specific to their particular role.
|All Permissions||Team member can view and manage all aspects of the shop through CommentSold. This grants access to full access to all permissions.|
|View Dashboard||Team member can view the Dashboard tab, which provides an overview of the latest orders, customers, and sales performance indicators for the shop.|
|View Monthly Goal||Team member can view the Monthly Goal tracker on the Dashboard tab.|
|Edit Monthly Goal||Team member can edit the Monthly Goal tracker on the Dashboard tab.|
Team member can view all reports available through the Reporting tab.
|View Report: Packers Overview||Team member's view of reports is limited to the Packers Overview Report, which measures the effectiveness of your staff in fulfilling orders.|
|View Report: Best Customers||Team member's view of reports is limited to the Best Customers Report, which identifies and provides details on your top spenders.|
| View Report: Top Offenders
||Team member's view of reports is limited to the Top Offenders Report, which identifies and provides details on customers that frequently abandon carts, make frequent returns, ect.|
| View Report: Top Returners
||Team member's view of reports is limited to the Top Returners Report, which identifies the top customers making frequent returns, their return rates, refund totals, & more.|
| View Report: Aged Inventory
||Team member's view of reports is limited to the Aged Inventory Report, which shows the inventory $ value by # of days since first posted for sale.|
| View Products
||Team member can only view the Products & details on the Products tab. They will not have any ability to edit or manage Products from here.|
|Manage Products||Team member can add/edit/remove products from the Products tab. They can also adjust a product's variants, quantities, cost, retail price, sales price, & weights.|
|Manage Posts||Team member can create, schedule, edit, link products to, or remove sales posts published your social accounts, your webstore, and your branded mobile app.|
|Manage Orders||Team member can view, edit, process, create shipping labels, return, and refund orders.|
|Manage Returns||Team member can manage all aspects of returns, refunds, and exchanges.|
|Manage Refunding Labels||Team member will have the ability to refund shipping labels when necessary.|
|Manually Fulfill Orders||Team member will have the ability to manually fulfill orders from the Orders/Fulfillment tab. In addition to processing orders individually, they will also be able to bulk change all orders from "Paid" to "Processing".|
|Manage New Fulfillment||Team member will have the ability to use the Fulfillment tab to scan and fulfill orders using barcode scanning.|
|Manage Coupons||Team member will have the ability to create, edit, and delete any coupons.|
|Manage Customers||Team member will have the ability to create, edit, remove, or block customers. In addition, they can manage a customer's account details and add/subtract their store credits, grant them free shipping, and disable taxes for orders made through their account.|
|Export Customers||Team member will have the ability to export a CSV of all customers, their names, emails, addresses, etc.|
|View Waitlist||Team member will have the ability to view Waitlists for out-of-stock items.|
|View Shopping Carts||Team member will have the ability to view shopping carts.|
|View Inventory Logs||Team member will have the ability to view Inventory Logs to help them track down inventory.|
|View Shop Logs||Team member will have the ability to view Shop Logs, which details all user activity from each team member's account.|
|Manage Team||Team member will have the ability to add, delete, or make changes to other team members' accounts. This includes the ability to add/remove permissions to limit or expand a team member's access to different parts of CommentSold.|
|Manage Store Themes||Team member will have the ability to edit the webstore settings.|
|View Setup||Team member will have view-only access to the Setup tab. This does not allow them to make changes to settings but allows them to view which settings are currently enabled/disabled.|
|Manage Setup Billing||Team member will have the ability to connect or disconnect payment gateways to/from CommentSold.|
|Manage Setup Other||Team member will have the ability to toggle switches to enable or disable certain features & shop settings.|
|View Mobile App Settings||Team member will have the ability to view Mobile App Settings (when/if you launch your branded mobile app). This does not allow them to make changes to app settings but allows them to view which settings are currently enabled/disabled.|
|View the Social Setup tab and make changes||Team member will have the ability to view and manage settings in the Social Setup tab. This includes connecting social accounts & enabling or disabling select features for the shop's Facebook page & groups, Messenger, Instagram, & Business Manager.|
|Can Use Broadcast App||Team member will have the ability to log in and start a livestream using the CS Broadcast App.|
|View Live History||Team member can view sales performance, viewership, and other details for past live sales in Live History.|
|View Profit Margin Data||Team member can view profit margin data.|
|Manage Scheduled Sales||Team member will have the ability to add, delete, or make changes to Scheduled Sales.|
|Manage Retail Price Changes||Team member will have the ability to add and manage bulk Retail Price Changes.|
Managing your Team Accounts
To view and manage details of all of existing team member accounts, visit the Team tab of your CommentSold dashboard. From here, you can edit their account details and adjust their permissions.
Across from the team member's name, click the three dots under the "Manage" column. You will see a menu that will allow you to:
Edit User - Change the name, email, password, or permissions for the user's account.
Go to User's Shop Logs - View all user activity taken through the team member's account.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication with Email - Enforce two-factor authentication on a user's account. Users will be prompted to enter a verification code (sent to their email) as a second step at login. You can read more about two-factor authentication here.
Invalidate Password and Sessions - Forcefully end all existing web sessions for the user and discontinue their ability to sign back in with their current password.
Copy to New User - Create a new user record that copies that team member's existing permissions. You will be prompted to change the name, email, and password to keep the new record from being a complete duplicate.
Delete User - Permanently delete the user account.
