CommentSold team accounts let you give each team member their own login credentials and role-specific permissions. Individual accounts help protect sensitive information, track activity by user, and control which features each team member can access.
Only shop admins and team members with the Manage Team permission can create and manage team accounts.
This article covers the following topics:
- Why each team member should have their own account
- How to create a team account
- How to manage an existing team account
- What each team permission allows

Why Should Each Team Member Have Their Own Account?
Individual team accounts help you control access and track activity within CommentSold. Using separate accounts allows you to:
- Control access: Decide which team members can access sensitive information and features.
- Track account activity: Identify which team member made changes to CommentSold settings and other account data.
- Measure productivity: Review individual team member performance using available CSV reports.
How Do I Create a Team Account?
To create a team account, open Team in your CommentSold dashboard, select Add Member, enter the team member's login information, assign the required permissions, and select Add User.
For security, create the team account while the team member is present so they can enter their own password. Avoid sharing or storing another team member's password.
- Select Team in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Select the Add Member on the right side of the screen.
- Enter the team member's Name, Email, and Password.
- The password must contain at least 10 characters.
- Select which permissions they will need for their position.
- If granting all permissions, you can select the All Permissions checkbox at the top of the permissions listing.
- Once you've granted the necessary permissions, select Add User at the bottom of the page.
How Do I Manage a Team Account?
You can edit, secure, duplicate, or delete a team account from the Team page.
- Select Team in the side menu of your CommentSold dashboard.
- Locate the team account you want to manage and select the three dots to the far-right of the account row.
- Select the action you wish to complete:
- Edit. Update the team member's name, email address, password, or permissions.
- Go to User’s Shop Logs. View activity performed by that team member in CommentSold.
- Enable 2 Factor Authentication. Require email verification when the team member signs in.
- Invalidate Passwords and Sessions. Immediately invalidate the team member's password and sign them out of devices where they are currently logged in. Use this option if an account password has been compromised.
- Copy to New User. Create a new team account with the same permissions as an existing team member. This is useful when onboarding someone into an existing role.
