Understanding Comment Statuses and Issues

Comment status of Paid Order

An invoice status of Paid Order means the customer checked out and an order was created in the Orders tab of your Dashboard.

Comment status of Temporary Cart (The customer needs to confirm their account on the page.)

The customer needs to confirm their account. See Customer Accounts

for instructions.

Comment status of Was Order

An invoice status of Was Order can mean the item expired from the cart, was removed from the cart, or was already purchased with FPFS enabled.

Comment status of Not Order

An invoice status of Not Order indicates the item was not carted. Here are some reasons a comment may not result in carting;

  • The comment was not an attempt to purchase.
  • A variant or identifier is needed to claim this particular item but was not included in the claim comment.
  • The comment was made by an account admin.

Customers commenting on social posts (Facebook, Instagram) and not getting replies or cart links.

If a post shows comments on Facebook or Instagram but there are no comments in the Show Comments section of CS, this usually indicates the post is not linked correctly, which will prevent customers from carting or checking out. There are 3 ways to link an existing post.

  • CommentChat - Create a CommentChat flow to link products to a social post.
  • Autolink - If you have autolink enabled, edit your post to include the product SKU as a hashtag. Facebook, Instagram.
  • Manual Link - Manually link a post to a single product using these steps:

  1. Select Products from the side menu of your Commentsold dashboard.
  2. Select the three-dot icon next to the desired product.
  3. Select Link to Post from the dropdown.
    • Add Notification title and body.
  4. Select the Link This Post next to the desired post.

Once linked, new comments will begin to work properly. This does not retroactively work on comments made before the post was linked.
